Exploring southeast asia one boot in front of the other. 10 pm monday 11 october 2010 calabai. What an inspirational day! We woke in Dompu early and were out on the road again with little time wasted. We ventured back towards Alas. After turning off towards Kilo (a tiny village nestled deep in a cavernous jungle valley) we began a winding series of steep ascents and descents down into the mountainous region surrounding Mount Tambora. [. The path mildly keeps to the coast, though at times the sheer diffic...

I knew where the pot holes are, the dips in the road, the deep cracks and where there is likely to be fallen rock. I know every turn and when to expect it. But running, you learn other things, like the fact that your neighbor keeps goats. I biked today. →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. So far Grace has said she will do them with me and Sofia and Brittany (a past guest at the resort) has said they’ll do the Agoura 5K with me. It helps to have other people commit too, since it holds me accountable. Accountability and motivation will be key in completing these goals. It’s a threefer! Here it goes again. I like cake. →. Third, I was forced to ride today (car issues) and I will have to ride tomorrow (Stephen has a dr appointment). I think being forced to ride two days in a row will help me to make the transition back into riding. So, high hopes. Big motivations. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Next comes the justification (well, I did have 6am appointments on two of those days. . . what was I supposed to do, ride to work in the dark? Then comes the all or nothing thinking (I screwed up this week, so I guess I’ll just change all of my dates on my goal page and start over next week). Finally, the drop in self-esteem (I feel like such a failure). Running home →. Enter your comment here.

Here it goes again. On January 31, 2011 · Leave a Comment. So, why am I attempting to run if I hate it so much? For one thing, I’m not sure I’ve ever given it a proper chance. According to reliable sources, runners (IE my father and my coworkers), you have to give running about a year before you can make a judgment on it. I have never given running a year. I’m not committing to doing so now. But I’ll give it six months. Compromise. Run 1 →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. You are com...
