Powering forward to push through life's challenges. Snug as a bug in a rug (9/100). September 22, 2015. September 22, 2015. Fresh out of the shower, wearing clean pj’s and hopping into bed with sheets just out of the dryer is one of my favorite feelings. Definitely worthy of day 9 of 100 happy days. Washing my duvet cover and putting it back on the comforter is my #1 most hated chore, but it’s worth it at the end of the day…literally! 8/100 happy days: nighttime snuggles. September 21, 2015. Hubs and I t...

Powering forward to push through life's challenges. September 30, 2015. September 30, 2015. So I went to Angie’s List. To see what deals I could find and to start setting up free estimates with some different companies. I came across highly rated Greystoke Painting. And I was pleasantly surprised, intrigued and impressed to see that it’s female-owned and operated. Not that I have any doubt that a woman could run a successful painting business (or any business! 100 days of happiness. You are commenting us...

Powering forward to push through life's challenges. Rain, rain, go away. Or don’t, it’s cool. (17/100). September 30, 2015. October 1, 2015. Not being able to lounge in bed on a rainy morning and enjoy a good thunder storm is definitely a bummer, but I still got to enjoy today’s deluge in Boston. I left for work around 6am so I beat a lot of the traffic and missed the headaches that come with it. I shot this video this morning before most of the employees even arrived. Getting there at my own pace…. What goes up…. November 3, 2015. November 3, 2015. That is the best feeling… knowing that when you hustle to the top of the hill, it will soon pay you back as a downhill! Yes, I conveniently cropped this picture so you couldn’t see how far or fast I ran… But once again: it was further and faster than my last run. There are lots and lots of hills on the trails by my house but I know they will benefit me in the long run (pun intended 😉). 3 Try to add in some cross training.

Getting there at my own pace…. Day 3- Rain and Cross-train. March 6, 2017. March 6, 2017. It poured today. That wouldn’t normally be a big deal- but today is my favorite cross-training activity. So we did it in the rain until they shut the fields down. Meet the Windjammers- My Sunday Soccer Solace. My life…past, present and future. What I am up to. After I wrote the post on Tuesday I couldn’t sleep that same night thinking about what I would write next. My decision was to write about what I am doing now. After 7 years my household went down to two. My mother and I started working on the house. That’s where all the donations to GW and NKF came in. After all the de-cluttering my house is still cluttered. Did I mention I’m also a crafter? I truly have A LOT! By Princessofallthingscrafty . I love shar...

One thing that Steve asked me in our conversation was, Where did you go on vacation this year? Where did I go on vacation this year? Hmmmm; that’s a good question, I thought. I asked him, Aside from when we went to Mexico City? And he said yeah; if you call the Mexico City trip a vacation. In my terms it was to a degree, however in Steve’s, he was an invi...
