Running to get the prize. Self image: up's and down's of a daily struggle. September 6th September 6, 2010. 8212; sarah le44 @ 10:05 pm. I’ve been asking fellow vegetarians what good meals are and what some favorite meals are. I haven’t been 100% impressed with the answers I got. Mostly I’ve heard of eating Burritos with refried beans, Quesadillas, salads, and snacky foods. Then of course there are the meatless sandwiches, which are fine, but get boring fast. Running to get the prize. Self image: up's and down's of a daily struggle. Just call me crazy August 31, 2010. 8212; sarah le44 @ 8:46 pm. Well I’m taking on a new venture. I’m going to stop eating meat. We’ll see how this goes. What really gets me is how many chemicals are shoved in to the food we eat all the time. It is so gross! Struggle: My hubby is not on board… makes for interesting experiences in the kitchen! Strength: Cheaper lifestyle and less calorie intake! Struggle: Less variety for meals.

Day 2 | Running to get the prize

Running to get the prize. Self image: up's and down's of a daily struggle. Day 2 July 27, 2010. 8212; sarah le44 @ 8:25 pm. Another day within my points. At this point (no pun intended) I am just happy with that. It is hard for me to think up evening meals and plan out that far ahead during the day and it is taking a lot of energy. Isn’t that strange? How hard it is for me to just eat a normal amount of food? But I find that I am not alone with this. There are. Was a whole 3 points. Ouch! Well let me tel...

Running to get the prize. Self image: up's and down's of a daily struggle. Unofficial weigh in August 3, 2010. 8212; sarah le44 @ 8:26 am. Monday was my “one week” mark for this new mind frame (that is what it is, not so much a diet) so I cheated and weighed myself even though I am supposed to weigh myself on Thursdays. Some where like 6 lbs? A good 40 min walk, another half hour with the Lord, and my morning is perfect! Why can’t I remember to do this everyday? So far so good. Oh, and this weekend w...

F is for Fellows. The uber personal side of my story. If you don't want all the details – then you should probably stop reading! Laquo; 1st photos. December 6, 2010 by Kelsey. It’s been hectic day to say the least. We let Emmie go to the nursery at 5 this morning. At 7:30 the nurse came in to inform us she was headed to the NICU. What? Something about oxygen saturation and stopping breathing every now and again…WHAT? When I have another update I’ll let everyone know! On December 6, 2010 at 9:14 pm. Stay ...

F is for Fellows. The uber personal side of my story. If you don't want all the details – then you should probably stop reading! Laquo; 38 weeks. November 30, 2010 by Kelsey. 28 lbs to date. Being able to hug my wife without the big ol’ baby bump getting in the way. Not trying to hate on the bump, but it is nice to be able to hug Kelsey without looking like we are slow dancing at a junior high dance. What I’m looking forward to:. Not sure about excitement, but finally got around to installing the car sea...

F is for Fellows. The uber personal side of my story. If you don't want all the details – then you should probably stop reading! Laquo; 36 weeks. November 16, 2010 by Kelsey. I know, every week I can’t believe I’m another week closer and the excitement must be getting a little annoying but really, 37 weeks! 27 lbs. Not going to lie, the weight gaining part is getting a little old. We had CPR class and Caring for your Newborn class this week. Grandma Vicki joined us for CPR and I think we all agree th...

Running to Eat! | My blog about running…and eating!

A Little About Me…. A Little About My Blog…. J B Starkey Wilderness Park. October 15, 2014. What I do love about this trail is the fact that it is pretty much a straight shot. I can put on my headphones and zone completely out without having to watch for traffic or stop lights. Normally it’s not very crowded so aside from an occasional biker or hiker you are left alone. That means, when I eventually fall while rollerblading there won’t be many witnesses. Me in my rollerblading gear. Run or Dye Tampa 2014.

Running To Fit | it's a beautiful day for a run

It's a beautiful day for a run. Races – Past. Races – Future. Rock ‘n’ Roll recap. September 11, 2010. I was on the blog showing Jenn what my hair looked like back in December and then I started looking through all of my old posts and you know what? I really miss blogging. I feel like I never do it anymore (because I kind of don’t get around to it anymore) and it’s making me really sad now :(. Honestly though, I have no idea how bloggers like Caitlin. With all the excitement of. I woke up the morning of ...

Running Past 40

Another blog about a 40 something woman who runs to keep sane! Sunday, November 6, 2011. Well instead of getting up early, putting on my running gear I had laid out the night before and taking off with the rest of the nutters (including my friend Lisa who flew down for the race) I spent my morning flat on my back, heating pad in place and choking back 2 Advil every 4 hours. So not the way I had planned to spend the day. Now my goal is to get back to…well walking first…then to running. I’ve been bot...

Running to get the prize. Self image: up's and down's of a daily struggle. September 27, 2010. 8212; sarah le44 @ 8:47 pm. Tonight I ran for 3 mile… no small feat for a girl that hasn’t been working out… in months…. So to recap this weekend: 7 mi. bike ride with Buckley and Liz on Saturday, 2 1/2 mile run last night, and 3 miles today! And I can’t say that I have reached that point! We’ll try again another day…. Running to Happiness | Fat to Fit: My Journey to a Healthy Life

Fat to Fit: My Journey to a Healthy Life. November 13, 2016. Well, mission incomplete. I’m a little bit devastated, but it wasn’t in the cards for the Colossal Vail 50/50 this weekend. The weekend started out great. My running buddy and I headed out to Vail, a city about 25 minutes southeast of Tucson, early enough to get our bibs at Fleet Feet. After that, we got some pre-race carb loading in at the Tamale Company. Their vegan tamales were AMAZING! We started just after 6:30am, and quickly encountered a...

Running to Help Japan

Sunday, January 8, 2012. 8 Marathons in 8 Weeks? The only thing I have heard on Canadian news recently about Japan is with regards to the large debris field from the March 11. Tsunami heading towards the west Coasts of Canada and the United States. For the most part though, those stories aren’t about Japan, but the impact the debris will have on Canada. I suppose the best thing to do would be to get rid of negative thoughts like that and just go for it! Posted by Kevin O. Running to Help Japan. As part o...
