Saturday afternoon was spent at Woolley Firs Farm. We placed mist nets next to a feeding station, sheltered from the high winds, and set-up our stall ready for visiting families. Bird ringing in Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Middlesex and Surrey. Thursday, 26 June 2014. As is to be expected, totals soared this month with over 959 birds ringed (438 Runnymede RG; 521 Maple Cross RG), the highest May total since 2006. Pulli were a major component at 462 (186; 276) mostly Blue Tit (351) and Great Tit (107) but also 3 House Sparrows and a Lapwing chick. Posted by Carl Hunter Roach. Bird ringing in Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Middlesex and Surrey. Wednesday, 29 July 2015. A good month with a flurry of juveniles on the last weekend. The total of 319 of 28 species included 3 Kingfisher, 9 Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Treecreeper and 3 Linnet although only single Sedge Warbler and Willow Warbler were ringed. Sports , leisure and social venue, The Runnymede Club, Egham, Surrey started to play pickleball while on a cricket tour in Mallorca. In the new year they began playing regularly at Lightwater, Surrey. Playing equipment is provided and beginners are offered basic instruction and encouragement. RRPC Member form reverse.
