http://crookedstamperlouann.blogspot.com/2016_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 26, 2016. What could be better this time of year than flowers and butterflies? This month The Craft Shack. This card has one layer so I used a heavy white card stock cut 8 1/4 X 4 1/4 with a finished size of approx. 5 X 4 1/4. Following Jennifer McGuire's technique On-the-Edge Die Cutting. The flowers are stamped from Sweet 'n Sassy's Flowers in Bloom Stamp Set. In Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then partially cut the top flower using the coordinating die set. The second card is also one layer...

Wednesday, July 27, 2016. I just love Jennifer McGuire's Faux Dimension with Stamps and Stencils Technique. I did this for a birthday card in June but this time I taught it in a technique class at The Craft Shack. Each month TCS offers classes using different techniques which includes making a 6X6 technique card with written instructions and a sample plus a finished project. I won't give you detailed instructions here only what I used but you can click on the link above to watch Jennifer's video. This re...

Crooked Stamper's Blog: November 2016

Monday, November 28, 2016. My BFF Lisa and I are always looking for new things to try so when I found the faux crazed porcelain. Technique on Splitcoaststampers I decided to try it when I made her birthday card. I thought it looked pretty neat but mine didn't turn out like theirs did and here's why. The technique calls for Distress Picket Fence Crackle Paint. Painted over it with Picket Fence. Well you can probably guess how the ink reacted when I put the Picket Fence paint over it. Bingo! This birthday ...

Crooked Stamper's Blog: September 2016
http://crookedstamperlouann.blogspot.com/2016_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 29, 2016. I joined a Halloween tag swap in a Facebook group called Love Paper Crafts. I decided to use a #8 manila tag and started by stamping the witch in black archival ink. She has a ring around her for the moon which I didn't want in black so I wiped it off and inked it using a mustard seed marker. I then blended. Over top for a bright noon. The rest of the tag is blended. The edges are distressed. The devils are by Sugarland and stamped in vermilion. I used a fine line Sharpie.

Crooked Stamper's Blog: Birthday Quilt
http://crookedstamperlouann.blogspot.com/2016/11/birthday-quilt.html
Sunday, November 27, 2016. This birthday card was for one of the Giggler's, Renee'. She loves to quilt and works in a quilt shop so how could I not make her a quilt card? I started with a SU Very Vanilla mat embossed using We R Memory Keepers Quilted Embossing Folder. Then adhered it to the SU Marina Mist card base The Papertrey Ink Quilters Sampler Stamp Set. Squares are individual stamps so I positioned them on my Misti. With water and stamped on watercolor paper. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Crooked Stamper's Blog: This Christmas
http://crookedstamperlouann.blogspot.com/2016/12/this-christmas.html
Thursday, December 15, 2016. For my 2016 Christmas cards I decided to use the tree from Tim Holtz's Doodle Greetings #2 stamp set. The SU Whisper White card front was embossed with Tim's Distressed Frame Texture Fade before being stamped. I still can't believe how easy it was to mass produce my cards using the Misti. Using markers, I colored the stars and snowflake with Mustard Seed and the pines with Peeled Paint then stamped. The tree was then inked with a Fired Brick. Using Ranger's Emboss-it Dauber.
