Running the race set before me. Friday, April 9, 2010. Wow, I got lost in life! I need to update my training schedule. although, I've been slacking (if you want honesty.). Spring break as in there. I ran a few times. Then a busy week followed so the workouts were gone. I'm back on this week. I'm tired, but feel pretty ready for the race in just a couple weeks! Here are some things I've learned:. You need LOTS of sleep to get through your hard workouts. A banana everyday is a good idea. and tasty :).

Running the race set before me. Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Sunday: Day off (family was in town). Tuesday: Sprint workout in the gym. Lift arms. Wednesday: Bike work out. 10 min warm up and medium resistance. 4x5 min at higher resistance with 5 min rest inbetween. 10 single leg drills 1 min ea. 10 min cool down. Thursday: Long swim. Running the race set before me. Sunday, March 7, 2010. Tired at the end of Week 2. A wonderful, end of winter cold? A nice long sick day? A new pair of biking shorts? Finally. week 2 is over! I'm tired. I fought a cold all week, missed two days of working out, and didn't sleep hardly enough. If you don't hear anything else when you are training for something, hear THIS: SLEEEEEEEP! Here were my works outs this week:. Sunday: 45 min bike ride. 5 minute intervals and mod-high resistance. I can't get enough!

I started running my junior year of college due to some peer pressure from a roommate. She made me do a 2-mile fun run with her. and it was all downhill from there! I can't get enough! Running the race set before me. Saturday, February 27, 2010. Here's what I ended up doing this week. Interval bike ride: 15.5 miles, 50:00. 5 minute intervals of low resistance and high resistance. Lift arms and shoulders. WU: 4x100; kickboard 2x50, 10x50 @ moderate pace, 1x50 with leg floats, 1x50 counting strokes, 3x75 regular pace; CD: 1x100. Total 1375 yards. Long run - 6.1 miles, 58:00, rolling hills on pavement, 50% against wind. My conclusions: I feel good and I need to sleep more. 6 mile run, huh?
