Welcome to the Museum of Village and Rural Life. Winter Season: The museum is now open on Wednesdays and Sundays only, between 11am and 4pm, until March 2017. Remember you can call us at any time on 01252 795571 to book your Santa Special visit. Don't forget the Christmas Craft Fair 11am to 3pm on November 12th! The Rural Life Centre. The gantry crane from Thames Ditton Statue Foundry was moved by the Group to the Rural Life Centre and this has recently gone to a collection in Essex. Welcome to the Museum of Village and Rural Life. The Rural Life Centre is a country life museum, assembled by the late Mr and Mrs Henry Jackson and now run by a charitable trust. It is pleasantly distributed over ten acres of field, woodland and barns, and our exhibits. Comprise of a large number of implements and devices marking over 150 years of farming. Many aspects of village and rural life are also displayed in realistic individual settings. There is so much to explore! And on Activity Thursdays.
