The House Ag committee passed HB 1019, which creates and provides for the rodent control fund, and validates the Department of Agriculture's authority to sell rodent control products. This bill relates to the ongoing battle in west river against prairie dogs. South Dakota Farmers Union Grassroots Action. Thursday, February 15, 2007. The House Taxation committee passed HB 1308. This morning. This bill will remove the 150% rule. THIS IS A TAX INCREASE ON AGRICULTURE. This bill passed with no numbers being shown as to what the full impact will be, but it does serve to add 3.6 billion dollars of "lost" value onto cropland. South Dakota Farmers Union Grassroots Action. Tuesday, February 13, 2007. SB 173 passes through the Senate. A bill which seeks to change the way in which land is assessed in South Dakota passed the SD Senate today by a vote of 28-5. The controversial measure would phase out the 150% rule, and use a cash rent basis for the way in which land is valued. SDFU endorsed the concepts outlined in the bill, and a cash rent basis for valuation has long been a staple of the SDFU policy book. View my complete profile.
