He was rescued and received medical attention and is much loved by those at the clinic who know him and call him "Traveler". He is unadoptable, but very well cared for by the doctors. You know.the ones where people stand and face the camera and smile? At a recent awards ceremony I took the usual photos, some candid shots, then had the nuns pose in fire hats. The occasion? 100 years ago the Motherhouse of the KY Dominican nuns burned to the ground from a gas explosion. No one was injured, but the fire took place during a January blizzard.

Sunday, January 02, 2005. Feral Cats: Draping the patient. Originally uploaded by Photoblogger. Dr Skelley drapes a female cat prior to surgery. The cat is under anesthesia and about to be spayed. Like all feral cats spayed or neutered at the PPAW clinic. She has had one ear "tipped" [the tip of one ear is clipped about 1/4" to 1/2"] to let doctors and rescuers know she has already been spayed in case she is ever caught again. She has also received her shots, medical attention and a deworming.
