These are the good times. We went up to Lewiston over the 4th of July to celebrate my grandpa's 85th birthday. It's a really long way up there, so we ended up driving to Boise and flying the rest of the way. I'm so glad we went. We took a nice little stop at Shoshone Falls near Twin Falls. These are the good times. Ramsi has a cute little group of girls in her Sunbeam class, so I decided this would be a good year to have a birthday party with friends. We invited them over Saturday to decorate gingerbread houses and play some games. The party was really cute and simple, just like I planned it out in my mind and I think the girls had fun. These are the good times. BUT THE VERY BEST THING ABOUT SUMMER. I love this time with just the two of us each morning. Teya is a quiet walking companion, so I get lots of time to think and feel gratitude. It feels so good to be up and out, starting the day with my little sweetie. These are the good times. FREE FISHING DAY, WITH ACTUAL FISHING. Last weekend we set out for the Free Fishing Day Celebration at Willow Park. In order to get a prize at the end, the kids have to participate in each booth. We were there early, moved through the activities efficiently, and the girls were the first to receive their brand new Free Fishing Day hats. I just couldn't crop the ranger out of this photo. These are the good times. Apparently the free fishing day celebration and a fire at Second Dam are traditions for our anniversary. Sunday, September 5, 2010. Oh, Sweet Boy! Blake is growing into such a young man. Today, after church, he held the door open for several elderly ladies. He didn't need prompting or guidance- he just ran and did it! I am so pround of his enthusiasm for all things new and exciting! Blake Russell Rice - - 4 years, 8 months.
