RAW Daily Recovery Hip Resurfacing Blog. Saturday, May 5, 2012. It's still slipping in the joint, and when it does it causes substantial pain. I can walk without pain, and I can play 3 rounds of golf in a week and be pretty much unaffected. However, I still cannot run and, if I arch my back backwards thereby putting pressure on the forward part of the joint, the hip slips painfully! I wish I had better news! I wish I could run! I don't have to run fast. I'm not 21 anymore! Nonetheless, I wish I could run!

My utter lack of flexibility in my lower back compounds this situation, though trying to put a sock on does hurt my hip.
