On Wednesday evenings, we have House Church {it's a small group with church} and this week was our last official meeting for the year so we had a potluck with a bonfire and fellowship while the kids ran around and played. We didn't get home till after 9pm that night and the kids weren't in bed till way pass their bedtime. And same for us. It was also Blake's last day of preschool.

Tuesday, January 28, 2014. This year for Christmas Russ surprised me with a weekend away! He had booked two nights at FivePine Lodge. The little cabin in the woods we stayed in. The first night we enjoyed at glass of wine by the fire in the lodge and then headed to dinner at Three Creeks Brewing. That's 3.5 years ha! The next day we got up {amazing how fast you can get ready without kids! And headed to Sisters Coffee. I forgot what it was like to not have to worry about nap/meal times ha!

Thursday, July 24, 2014. This last Saturday was a sad day for us. We had to say goodbye to our dog Raven. Raven was 90lb Black Lab. She was the sweetest, most gentle, loyal and loving big black dog. Most people would mistake her as a male because of her size. I'm going to miss looking out the window seeing her follow Russ around while he works in the yard. And the sound of her collar when she would shake and Lily saying "Ray-Ray". (Blake called her Re-Re before he could say Raven). Thursday, July 17, 2014.

This week we took Avery swimming for the first time with her friend Abbey.We got to the pool and saw that Abbey and Avery had matching swim suits on. I guess Abby's mom and I have the same taste!
