Monkeys in My Bag. A Missionary Momma Doing Life in Central America. Advice from one missionary to another. November 15, 2013. A Warning to the Itinerant:. 8211; I do not deserve the pulpit, I have not ‘earned’ it. 8211; I am not better than the ones I preach to. 8211; I cannot presume God’s favor or anointing. 8211; I cannot live in sin and call others to holiness. 8211; My life has to match my exhortations. 8211; The flock must see and feel that I love them, and more importantly that I love Jesus.

Daffodils & Deferment | The Kid From Bus Number Four

The Kid From Bus Number Four. By the grace of God I am what I am. Posted April 3, 2010. Had a remarkably beautiful day yesterday. A rare sunny, 80 degree gem for so early in April. My wife and I spent the day working in the yard, reclaiming it from the general mayhem that Winter had left. We cleaned up all the sticks, raked up all the leaves that had been hidden under three months of snow, and bagged up all the yard garbage. Laquo; He Ain’t Heavy, We’re All Brothers. The Kid From Bus Number Four. By the grace of God I am what I am. He Ain’t Heavy, We’re All Brothers. Posted March 26, 2010. OK, this one’s been cooking for a while. I have to give some props to my Sunday School teacher, who just got done going over the book of First Thessalonians with us. So a lot of what I am about to impart I learned from him. But, as the enthusiasm of the Thessalonians is their great strength, it it also their great weakness. These folks are so bananas for Jesus, and so looking f...

The Kid From Bus Number Four. By the grace of God I am what I am. Posted March 9, 2010. E been studying the life of Joseph. Joseph, the clearest picture of redemption save for Jesus himself. And as I’m reading the last half of Genesis, I’m struck by the character of his father Jacob. Maybe calling him Jake the Snake is a little over the top, but it’s uncanny how Jacob always focuses squarely non how every situation affects him. Looking out for. Does he mourn the loss of his daughter’s virtue? Thanks the ...

The Kid From Bus Number Four. By the grace of God I am what I am. The Kid From Bus Number Four. Posted March 13, 2010. When I was a grade school kid, my parents didn’t go to church at all. But my Mom did make sure that my brother and I went. Every Sunday, a rickety, past it’s prime school bus would lumber up the hill to our house and pick the two of us up. Can you imagine how old that must have gotten for the driver? Thanks for the ride, Mr. Jones. Laquo; Jake the Snake. 2 comments so far. You are commen...

Monkeys in My Bag. A Missionary Momma Doing Life in Central America. November 14, 2013. I have not blogged for a couple of weeks now. I’m just breathing in and out every day, doing my job, taking care of responsibilities. I’ve been focusing on Soul Care issues with any spare strength I find. Boundaries- I’m pushing back those boundary lines that have crept too close to the center, giving myself space to breathe. One of those boundaries is pulling away from social media. I needed that time with her. Thank...

Monkeys in My Bag. A Missionary Momma Doing Life in Central America. Depression is a hand on the throat. November 6, 2013. There are moments where it takes all my energy just to keep breathing. I close my eyes against the dazzling blue and try to remember why I like breathing. View all posts by amamiot ». 4 responses ». November 6, 2013 at 8:28 am. His word says that God inhabits the praise of His people and when we draw near to God He draws near to us and the enemy must flee! November 6, 2013 at 10:51 am.
