Chandler Dowell Serving in Honduras: March 2015
http://chandlerinhonduras.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Chandler Dowell Serving in Honduras. Thursday, March 26, 2015. This week has been hard. I was surprised at how much I was effected by the heat, study, and contacting. We had a day this week, i can´t remember which one, where we didn't talk to a single person because they either weren't home or they were ¨busy¨. All we could do was shake it off and move on to the next one, which frustrated me even more! Was Miriam Rivera´s baptism! People arent as mean as I thought. I just take it as mean when they do...

Chandler Dowell Serving in Honduras: June 2015
http://chandlerinhonduras.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Chandler Dowell Serving in Honduras. Wednesday, June 17, 2015. This week has been better than past weeks. I am learning more Spanish little by little. This week I was able to baptize my first person ever! This morning we took a long hike to the Coca Cola mountains. The mountains are so green but almost like a rainforest. Super hot and humid and bugs EVERYWHERE. This place is growing on me but still has many customs that I am not used to. I think it is part of the culture to be rude. But it is nic...We ha...

Chandler Dowell Serving in Honduras: February 2015
http://chandlerinhonduras.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Chandler Dowell Serving in Honduras. Friday, February 13, 2015. Semana 5 - almost outta here. Dad Note* Chandler's last note had some marker drawings and I asked him what they were all about. He said each 'class' leaves something for the incoming class as they head out and that was it. The drawings were done by his companion, Elder Wight. I asked him to tell us a little about Elder Wight, his companion for the past few weeks. - RD. Morning, the 17th at 2:30 am. And we arrive at 7:20. This week I have beg...

Chandler Dowell Serving in Honduras: April 2015
http://chandlerinhonduras.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Chandler Dowell Serving in Honduras. Tuesday, April 14, 2015. This week has been a very interesting week. It didn't feel like we had too much success but looking back, 2 of our investigators showed up to church which is awesome considering how lazy everyone is, especially on a Sunday. This week we ate at a member's house Wednesday o. Shes a member of the church and she knows we are missionaries! Why would she give us tea? Saturday, April 11, 2015. A few people asked what I usually do for Semana Santa.

Chandler Dowell Serving in Honduras. Monday, May 11, 2015. This week was interesting but the best in a while because I got to skype home! I love you guys so much and I miss you! This week we went back to visit with the lady whose dog bit me and extended an invitation to be baptized. She accepted so hopefully she will stay committed! Haha but I know Heavenly Father was watching over me because its owner whistled for it when I got half way down the street. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). To email Elder Dowell:.

Life is Good at the Gardners: November 2014
http://gardneraz.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 29, 2014. It's Megan. Happy Holidays to all! As most of you know, I am now living in Utah. I was always that person who swore up and down I would never become "one of those Utah'ns" and yet. here I am. All in all it hasn't been as bad as I thought! Being a theater teacher is what I have always wanted to do, but I didn't really have the confidence to pursue it. Now with the support of my loving and wonderful family and friends, I am off! It's always fun to see familiar faces! I am also ...

Chandler Dowell Serving in Honduras: June 1st update
http://chandlerinhonduras.blogspot.com/2015/06/dad-note-i-have-been-little-selfish.html
Chandler Dowell Serving in Honduras. Friday, June 5, 2015. I have been a little selfish the past few weeks keeping Chandler's letters to myself. Here is a compilation of a couple of his weekly updates. We had a lesson with her this week on Saturday. I was so frustrated sitting in the meeting because my companion talked the entire hour. He only gave me time to bare my testimony. This frustrated me, but it made me even more frustrated that I couldn't think of anything to say! Another investigator of ours, ...

Chandler Dowell Serving in Honduras: Santa Barbara
http://chandlerinhonduras.blogspot.com/2015/07/hola-little-bit-of-change-this-week-as.html
Chandler Dowell Serving in Honduras. Thursday, July 2, 2015. A little bit of change this week as I had the first change of the mission so far. I was in Castaños, San Pedro Sula and took a 2 hour bus ride southeast to a little cooler place called Santa Barbara. My new companion is named Elder Permenter. He is from Connecticut and he was born in the Chandler hospital! I wish I would have payed more attention! Ha ha but I also started just reading in Spanish. So if I don't know a word I ask or look it u...
