Camping at Whitewater State Park. Loving our new tent! First time in this site. It is huge and right on the water. Just feet from our site. Love how the groves are worn on the cliffs. The water is spring fed and icy cold. It takes a lot of encouragement to jump in! Some people have AWESOME set-ups! It was very cold for July! Amtrak Empire Builder from Red Wing MN to Portland Oregon. Waiting to board the Empire Builder. The beautiful depot in Red Wing, MN. The train was a bit late, but what a splendid place to wait! After we got settled in our roomettes, we went right to the observation car. Love the night time reflections! So comfy that she's sleeping like a baby. Hiking at Sand Point Frontenac State Park. Was not expecting this sign as the boardwalk typically floods in spring, and the water is currently not high. We didn't take this, our usual trail. On the return, we tried to find the boardwalk only to learn that it had been removed, and the trail no longer maintained. This was the only bit of it that we found.
