Rusty’s Reading List 2015 August 11, 2015. I picked this book up at VERSeFest, as I do many of my poetry books. I was grabbed right away, even before I got to Geddes’ poetry by a quote included by Milan Kundera. Already back on my heels from that, the firs Geddes poem is from the point of view of a mass killer. Unsure of how this was going to go, I hit a poem I heard him read at VERSeFest about Sandra Lee Scheuer, one of the students killed at Kent State. Very worth the read. What Does A House Want?

Rusty’s Year in Comics 2015 July 12, 2015. What is it about autobiographical comics? What secret glimpse into another person’s world makes it somehow relevant to our own world? I honestly done know. But when done well – like this one – it really does. There are parts of this book that made me a little uncomfortable (the somewhat stereotypical illustration of black characters for example), but it was still an interesting slice of someone’s life.
