Buckland Blog: Welcome Hezekiah
http://bbuckland.blogspot.com/2011/10/welcome-hezekiah.html
Monday, October 3, 2011. For those of you following a link to this page you may want to read about our long weekend. 9:20am - just 8 minutes old. An excellent shot of the 3 vessels in the cord. Some skin to skin time with Dad. How do I do that! Some skin to skin time with Rachel. 373kg and 54cm long. 1:10 - Dad putting some oil on him. Brendon then put a hat on Hezekiah and used some dental floss to tie the cord (much easier to put a nappy on without the bulky plastic clamp) and cut the cord. Hezekia...

Buckland Blog: What a Wednesday
http://bbuckland.blogspot.com/2015/05/what-wednesday.html
Friday, May 8, 2015. And talking about sewing, Hannah asked the friend if she would help her finish her bag after their reading session on Wednesday. They had been working together on it during some sewing sessions they had earlier in the year and so it was nice to see it all finished. It looks so good. It was only on Thursday mid-morning that my stomach finally felt ok again. Wednesday was the hardest day. I was so drained, and still had the ear ache. Then it was time to meat the speech therapist (who w...

Buckland Blog: Seizures, cement and special treats
http://bbuckland.blogspot.com/2015/05/seizures-cement-and-special-treats.html
Sunday, May 10, 2015. Seizures, cement and special treats. On Friday at 4:30 Asher had a 2 minute vacant seizure. She wasn't breathing well through it. Thankfully after her recovery sleep she was back to her happy playful self. Look at this cheeky little monkey. :-) I can't help but smile when I see this precious little bundle of joy. On Saturday the children enjoyed watching the cement being poured for our new neighbours bridge (for their drive way). And when the children arrived home from church this e...

Buckland Blog: The Story of Baby Ruth
http://bbuckland.blogspot.com/2006/07/story-of-baby-ruth.html
Wednesday, July 19, 2006. The Story of Baby Ruth. Once upon a time, there was a young woman who was pregnant and expecting a baby. She did not have money to look after the baby and she did not know what she was going to do when the baby was born. She was so afraid. So she left the little girl outside the clinic. Knowing that someone would find her when she started to cry. In the meantime, in a different part of the county there was a family that had only one daughter. Her name was Rachel and she was ...

Buckland Blog: Shadow gets a sister and a new home
http://bbuckland.blogspot.com/2015/04/shadow-gets-sister-and-new-home.html
Sunday, April 26, 2015. Shadow gets a sister and a new home. Shadow has really missed having her brother around to play with over the last 6 months. And although the children love her very much, life is just too stressful for us to think about getting another dog. So we started looking for a new home for Shadow. One that would provide her with the canine family she so needs. It was fun to watch them. Then the girls wanted a photo with her too. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Buckland Blog: Rachel's Birth Story
http://bbuckland.blogspot.com/2001/04/rachels-birth-story.html
Friday, April 6, 2001. This is the story of the birth of our baby girl Rachel Elizabeth Buckland. How long could it still be? Brendon asked me how tired I was. I answered him that I was not very tired but I was “sick and tired”. I wanted things to happen. I wanted to keep going. Things are going quicker, and they could speed up. I need to stay out of the pool and use gravity as much as possible. Then finally, after one of the contractions, her head did not go back. What relief! View my complete profile.

Buckland Blog: Green garden and looking grown up
http://bbuckland.blogspot.com/2015/04/green-garden-and-looking-grown-up.html
Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Green garden and looking grown up. Saturday 25th: Brendon was pleased to get some work done in the ditch this afternoon. Hezekiah having fun out there too. Sunday 26th: Brendon out early in the morning raking up mostly sticks around the garden. Hannah did a good job helping pick it all up. It was lovely that he could actually get the grass cut, and that it needed it. The last bit of rain has finally got things turning green. Monday 27th: Ruth made this person for Hezekiah today&#...

Buckland Blog: What a week
http://bbuckland.blogspot.com/2015/05/what-week.html
Sunday, May 3, 2015. Playing with the toys at the hospital. After about 2 minutes I thought it may have stopped and so picked her up and held her in my arms. On looking into her face I realized she was still in the seizure. Her eyes had been pulling to the side earlier and now were forward, but the seizure was still going. It then became a bit of a Tonic seizure with her head arching back. And it just kept going. At 5 minutes we would normally give her a dose of Midazalam. The passage cupboard got flooded.

Buckland Blog: Hannah's Birth Story
http://bbuckland.blogspot.com/2008/03/hannahs-birth-story.html
Tuesday, March 18, 2008. Well what excitement there was at church on Sunday when all our friends could congratulate us on this blessing! I think so many people had hoped the Lord would bless us one day with another child of our own and so it was really a celebration of many in the body of Christ. On Monday we heard that our visa applications for immigration to New Zealand had been approved and so this little one would be born in New Zealand. When I saw Maureen again on the 18th Jan (32 weeks) baby was in...
