http://rosebdownunder.blogspot.com/2012/01/soo-close-but-soo-far.html
Travels in Australia and New Zealand. Tuesday, January 3, 2012. Soo close, but soo far :(. The deal is, we got on the plane in Auckland, flew over the pacific for 12 hours, arrived in LAX at 6:30am, and had to wait 10 hours for our flight to Seattle. Everyone was a little tired (it's hard to sleep in a tiny chair! It was pretty cool, the city looked like it was a bowl of beads, and the roads looked like they were little glowing rivers! In 24 hours I'll see you guys, earlier actually. Last full day :(.

One Great Journey : Downunder 2011. Tuesday, May 26, 2009. Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah. Our time at Mystic Hot Springs. Was great. We managed to get some serious weeding done in exchange for free camping and use of the hot springs. The girls especially liked the cooler, shallower pool that was designed with kids in mind. Meanwhile, the warmer, deeper adjacent pool seemed to uncurl hidden knots in Doug and Denise. A few travelers had suggested we include Capitol Reef National Park. We're close to a s...

One Great Journey : Downunder 2011: Brisbane has grown up
http://onegreatjourney.blogspot.com/2011/11/brisbane-has-grown-up.html
One Great Journey : Downunder 2011. Monday, November 28, 2011. Brisbane has grown up. Living in Brisbane back in the 80's and early 90's, I always thought of it as a big country town - with all that is good and bad about that. On the plus side was a certain relaxed friendliness to the place. On the other side, there was a slowness that felt like backwardness compared to the liveliness of Sydney or Melbourne. Travels in Australia & New Zealand: Christmas eve!!!
http://rosebdownunder.blogspot.com/2011/12/christmas-eve.html
Travels in Australia and New Zealand. Friday, December 23, 2011. I can't believe its Chrismas eve! Ouch We left the next morning and drove another couple of hours to the hokianga habour, and the little town of Opononi, where the Bryers family is local. We went out to dinner the first night and found a relation at the bar! It was strange. And today, we went over to some sand dunes and played around, and the boat driver asked my nana who we were and she said 'I'm Rose Bryers' and the guy was like 'oh!
