Few steps at a time. Or, how to jump without moving. The belated Poster in Location. I have been meaning to do this for weeks, but wasn’t out much. I thought a good site for the poster would be any site of mindless, and/or mindful e consumption. Comments : 3 Comments. Categories : cgia 215. Loved seeing it all come together. Kind of like weaving. Take all these elements, and a lot of technical mumbo jumbo and voila! Something beautiful. Most of the time. When I find the right materials I’m thinking of shaping the weaving into elaborate collar shape such as seen on Elizabethan costumes. Below is a rough sketch of the collar and how it would look on the warp. I’m excited about making it. For now. Date : April 17, 2009. Visually, the texture of the steel wool reminds me of felt – have you ever thought of making a cobweb felt and steel wool garment? Few steps at a time. Or, how to jump without moving. Photo and thermo sensitive ink printed T? It has been on my mind. How to go beyond the obvious? Do I need to or can I just have fun? Ink that becomes invisible at certain temperatures or changes in light. To reveal what exactly? Something printed underneath, like a different pattern or image. So that would be like 2 t’s in one depending on conditions. A gimmick. NO? Yes, no yes and no. Maybe. Laquo; For all the right reasons. The Project, finally.

Few steps at a time. Or, how to jump without moving. For all the right reasons. I have to admit, I’m ambiguous about technology. I’m attracted to novelty and yet, I find it gimmicky a lot of the times. I looked at the hug shirt. And the signaling bike jacket. And scent dispensing dress. And felt a sort of a tickle, like when someone is spinning a story and I’m not quite buying it. I get the avalanche jacket, and maybe the soft keyboard. Where do we stop?
