Monday, October 23, 2006. Another highlight of the summer break was Thanksgiving dinner with my family. Since I will be somewhere in the middle of the Indian Ocean during Thanksgiving we cooked all of the traditional foods and had a big dinner in August! It was delicious and fun, and after eating we went outside and sat in the yard and talked. Hooray for great weather! It was great to spend a lot of time outdoors this summer and fall. She is precious and they are as great as ever! So happy and peaceful!

Wednesday, May 31, 2006. Today was a very interesting day! I had some classes, and they were pretty standard. I played outside with kids in every free moment, including some time practicing unicycles! These kids can fly around so fast it's amazing! Meanwhile I was sticking close to the bars that I could hold on to as I "rode." It was fun and with a little more practice I might be able to go forward for one full pedal without falling! Friday, November 10, 2006. It is my second day in Vietnam! I am in Hoi An and it has been such a nice break from boat life. The food, the scenery, the smiles of people. these will be etched in my memory as I move on in this voyage and in my life. I will share some impressions from this time in Vietnam. Money is a strange thing and value is so different from cost. I am autmatically labeled as a tourist wherever I go! Life is on a different scale here!
