So I decided to do a big before and after post of all my projects from the last month. Now for the furniture! And then we went to the beach! So come check...

Trying to make things a little prettier. Laquo; make me pretty round up. Make me pretty – yard sale vanity. Make me pretty – another round up. July 30, 2015. I have been working on so much furniture, I haven’t spent much time blogging. So I am posting another round up of all my projects from the last month or so. I picked up this desk at an estate sale. I liked it’s petite size and roll top. It was originally white with metallic gold trim. Here I am in my new shed workspace. Tagged before and after.

Domus Aurea: May 2010
http://domusaurearichmond.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Life at the Domus. Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Since going back to work, inside projects are on hold until summer break. Of late, we have been working on the yard. Over spring break, we built a privacy fence in the back yard. I love it! This is the back gate leading to the alley. The pergola over the gate matches the shape of the eaves on the roofline. Additionally, we've installed a doggy/kitty door and we have now gotten rid of the heinous catbox! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I could go on and on. Widesprea...

Life at the Domus. Tuesday, August 9, 2011. Okay, so my paint hand got tired. My local Ben Moore store ran out of paint. Aliens ate my paint brush. No No No No No No No NO. I've decided to give up home renovations for the next two weeks and do something that doesn't include paint, hammers, drywall, plumbing, gardening, or any other home improvement vocabulary. I am running away to play! PLAY Did you hear me people? I'm taking a well deserved break and am going to go PLAY. Play at the beach! If you have q...

Domus Aurea: August 2010
http://domusaurearichmond.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Life at the Domus. Friday, August 20, 2010. Lots of projects going on but not much photo department. I stenciled the dining room, but it doesn't show up well. I mostly have been focussing on cleaning up the basement. Built two work benches which provided the workspace I needed to refinish a cabinet, which as yet to be installed in the dining room. Ours is the unit on the right hand side. Big ugly bushes, dark green shutters. Bushes gone, some landscaping done. Painted mostly. Carpet gone.

Caramelized OpiNIONS (aka RVA Foodie): Creecy Greens, Two Ways*
http://caramelizedopinions.blogspot.com/2009/02/watercress-two-ways.html
Caramelized OpiNIONS (aka RVA Foodie). Food blog, frugality, and uncouth social action. Thursday, February 19, 2009. Creecy Greens, Two Ways*. Is a bitter green, like mustard greens, or nasturtium leaves, but they're also thick, like collards or kale. And they're spindly, like arugula. Does this sound good? From a Scottish food blog. I made both, and I still have some of the greens left over. Is somebody talking about me? Does this even look like the same baby as the picture above? The color doesn't pop ...
