Camperwife: Hobbies for Rver's
http://camperwife.blogspot.com/2012/12/hobbies-for-rvers.html
Dec 18, 2012. Hobbies are a subject near and dear to my heart. I have LOTS of hobbies. But living in an RV poses a challenge to pursuing some of my hobbies. Hobbies that require a lot of equipment or space just won't work in an RV. So I sat down to make a list of hobbies that will work for full time RVers. Here's what I came up with. Get a good digital camera, and you're off! A guide book and binoculars take up little weight and space. A great hobby for travelers! A sort of a digital treasure hunt! You n...

Camperwife: April 2013
http://camperwife.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Apr 11, 2013. We sold our first RV at just the right time! We found out right after we decided to sell, that my Dad was having heart problems and had an appointment for a heart cath in a few days. We had already decided to move in temporarily with them until we could find a good used Class C RV, but now it became more necessary for us to be there so we could help take care of him! He ended up with a triple bypass two days after his heart cath. They wanted him in there ASAP! I am more concerned with livin...

Camperwife: How to reseal RV exterior compartments
http://camperwife.blogspot.com/2013/06/how-to-reseal-rv-exterior-compartments.html
Jun 4, 2013. How to reseal RV exterior compartments. Pretty bad, huh? So we took out the vinyl strip that covered the screws, unscrewed all of them and gently pried the compartment door loose. The next step was to clean off all the leftover goop along the edges of the door and the wall. Here's the before pics of that. I didn't get a picture of the new butyl tape around the door flange, because about that time, we had to speed things up a bit and hurry to get it in. So, the after pictures are here. Novemb...

Camperwife: Kitchen
http://camperwife.blogspot.com/p/kitchen.html
Weight is a constant issue we deal with in an RV. The kitchen is one place in the RV where we can try to lighten the load. For example, in my "stick house" I had a set of heavy stainless steel pots and pans with glass lids that weighed about 25 pounds. Instead, I opted for lighter graniteware pots and pans that weigh about 6 pounds. Here is a list of what I consider to be a basic, lightweight, and green kitchen set up for your RV:. Granite Ware 1.5 Quart Double Boiler. Plus it comes in 10 Inch. Then you ...

Jun 19, 2011. When we bought our fifth wheel, the bathtub had a crack in it that someone attempted to fix without success. But we got such a good deal, we figured we could replace the bathtub and go on. Ha! Have you ever tried to remove an RV bathtub? Not only did we have to remove the bathtub, the plastic walls had to come out too. What do you think? Labels: RV bathroom remodel. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
