Jon and Eileens' Travels. Friday, January 17, 2014. Building the Tray - Part 4. On a good note, I did find a business close at hand that sells all of the hardware that will be needed for the lockers. The company is called Dunn and Watson and they import Door locks, hinges, rubber seals, cargo slides, air vents, windows and lots of other goodies - Love that place. Lots of little jobs this weekend and a bit more planning for the outer shell. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Bush Poetry and such things.

Jon and Eileens' Travels. Friday, October 31, 2014. Casino to Grafton to Woolgoolga. Leaving Casino today, so after packing up and hitching up, a quick visit to the dump site to lighten up for the journey ahead was in order and like everything else here, the dump site has easy access and is very easy to use. By now we were looking for a service station as the reserve light had just come on, so into the next one we saw along the way. $1.60 a litre but what can you do. Monday, October 27, 2014. Jon and Eileens' Travels. Saturday, July 11, 2015. Woodgate to Calliope and on. Five weeks in to our trip and we are still learning the ropes. you know, 'the wish we had known that' and the 'we won't do that again' moments. Eileen and I have got setting up and breaking camp down to a fine art and I recon we could both do it in our sleep but there are still so many little things to learn as we go. We left the fiver hitched and just wound down the rear stabilisers and put the awning out. On arrival the spo...

Jon and Eileens' Travels: The Journey Home. Woolgoolga to Caboolture Show Grounds.

Jon and Eileens' Travels. Saturday, November 8, 2014. The Journey Home. Woolgoolga to Caboolture Show Grounds. Well our shakedown trip has come to an end and I have to say that our report card would be just a pass. I have a lot of learning to do when it comes to reversing 14 meters of Rig into tight spaces but I guess that will come with experience. well, it better anyway. While my photography leaves a lot to be desired, I'm sure you can feel the atmosphere of the event and the thrill of the racing.

Jon and Eileens' Travels. Saturday, November 29, 2014. Wannabe Wanderers Wonderful Weather and Warm Welcome at Woodgate. After a pleasant and uneventful four hour drive from Scarborough we pulled up in the drive at the Woodgate Beach Tourist Park and walked in to reception. Hello Eileen! Although not quite to capacity, never-less the park was quite crowded mainly due to the Wide Bay A-Van Club which had around 30 A-Vans in attendance around a Marquee in the middle. It was their Christmas party and I ...

http://jonandeileens.blogspot.com/2015/06/goomboorian-standown-park.html
Jon and Eileens' Travels. Saturday, June 27, 2015. Goomboorian – Standown Park. Located half way between Gympie and Tin Can Bay, Standown Park is a Memorial Caravan Park run by and dedicated to Vietnam veterans. At around $18 a night for a powered site it is a great spot to stop, reflect and unwind for a time. After the full on week we had with our FWAA members at Kilkivan, Eileen and I decided to stay for two weeks before continuing on our 6 month journey of discovery. We will remember them.".
