We are The Poe's. Now a family of 5 through adoption. Here's a peek into our lives. Welcome! Wednesday, September 29, 2010. For an update, no? Well, there hasn't been a whole lot to report on around the Poe household lately. I guess that's good, right? Does that mean that our lives are starting to feel more "normal"? I think she looks totally different! Night and day, people, Night-And-Day! But now I am finding that she is making the effort.it doesn't usually sound anything like the English words, bu...

Tuesday, April 6, 2010. Easter and the Outdoors. The Easter Bunny visited our house for the first time this year. To make up for the other 2 Easters which she missed due to laziness, she bought an extra special present for OE - his favorite movie Cars. He was very excited! BeeGee was equally excited for his Easter basket of goodies that Mom and Dad had to eat for him. BeeGee got his first car in honor of his daddy who gave up his car just like this one for a more reasonable family car. The world is alive.

Kristin 'n boys: What Happened to my Summer?
http://kristinnboys.blogspot.com/2010/08/what-happened-to-my-summer.html
Thursday, August 5, 2010. What Happened to my Summer? In July, Benjamin and I were hit with a virus unlike anything else I've ever had. Sure, it was just a fever, cold, and sinus infection, so it seems like I should have been able to carry on and function somewhat normally. Wrong! It knocked me down and kept me there for weeks! So now we are busy fitting the zoo, children's museum, parks, friends, gym, and church into the last few weeks that we have before we move on to the next season. The JP Family Blog.

Monday, May 31, 2010. We ate our first meal with veggies from the garden last week. It was so incredible to eat something that my hands helped create. We had spinach, lettuce, and radishes. As you can see, there wasn't a ton yet, so I supplemented the lettuce. Posted by Kristin Hilger. Monday, May 24, 2010. Need to eat your veggies? Http:/ www.gumbopages.com/food/veg/veg-jambalaya.html. So, during the months before we left for Ethiopia to get Desi, I spent a lot of time thinking about her hair. .did a little research, but mostly just felt like I was going to be totally inadequate with her hair! I suppose I'm the reason she got that way.I digress. One one hand."whoa! They shaved her head! Was that really necessary? So we started from scratch.
