Furby's Game Design 2010: July 2010
http://geraldglobaloria2010.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Furby's Game Design 2010. Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Playing to Learn - Design. My game will be in the sports genre. I coach basketball and I love all sports. My game will deal with hitting things to get special powers (maybe). Hopefully the game will use the arrows, spacebar, and maybe the shift and control keys. Hopefully in the different levels will deal with different sports like basketball, football, soccer, baseball, tennis and more. Here is a post. My favorite icecream is chocolate swirl. John , W00T.

Furby's Game Design 2010: Moving On to Prototyping
http://geraldglobaloria2010.blogspot.com/2010/10/moving-on-to-prototyping.html
Furby's Game Design 2010. Tuesday, October 5, 2010. Moving On to Prototyping. With time still ticking away, most of the students should be moving on to the paper prototype section! This is where all the fun will begin! Students games will start to take shape and start to come alive! Most students will get really excited, while some are still getting caught-up on their missing work. There has been times that I did not think we would see this point before Chrismas break! Furby's Game Design 2010: Paper Prototypes
http://geraldglobaloria2010.blogspot.com/2011/03/paper-prototypes.html
Furby's Game Design 2010. Sunday, March 20, 2011. With all the games that our students play you would think that they could come up with some great games right off the top of their heads! While my students are a diverse group, with a combination of freshmen, sophomore, juniors, and seniors, it is like pulling teeth getting them to think out of the box. They can come up with all kinds of killing games or games that you are blowing up things, but none that will teach kids anything to due with STEM!

Furby's Game Design 2010: February 2011
http://geraldglobaloria2010.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Furby's Game Design 2010. Thursday, February 24, 2011. Second semester is off and going! We are midway through the 3rd nine weeks already! My Globaloria class this semester is doing well. It might be due to the fact that I know more about the class and what they need to accomplish. This group might not be as strong as last semester but they are a good group of students. Great news: I just found out that I am receiving a grant that I applied for ($18,000)! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Post of the Day.

Furby's Game Design 2010: End of Semester
http://geraldglobaloria2010.blogspot.com/2011/01/end-of-semester_20.html
Furby's Game Design 2010. Thursday, January 20, 2011. With all the snow days we have finally reached the end of the semester. The first class of Globaloria at PBHS has came to an end. Students finally got to do their presentations and for the most part it went good. But of course we had technical problems. This time it wasn't with the internet, it was with the phone line! Good luck to everyone this semester that has a Globaloria class! It has to get better, right? February 1, 2011 at 2:23 PM. John , W00T.

Furby's Game Design 2010. Thursday, October 7, 2010. Today was a good day! My students finally started their paper prototypes and one group is totally on track. They are making a great paper prototype and another group is well on their way. I hope that this is a good sign of things to come and although we are running behind schedule students are trying to pick up the pace! They have a deadline, this coming Wednesday, so now we will see who can step up to the challenge and step out of their safety zone!
