Wo shi waiguoren.

Saturday, January 31, 2009. Once again, my apologies for the delay in the blog. I promise, we’re still alive and doing well. We’ve done so much since I last wrote, but I promise that eventually, everything will be accounted for. I’ll just keep plugging along as best I can. 8221; and we decided to catch it on the way back. It was a bumpy 15 minute ride up the hill but we enjoyed every minute of it. How often does one get the opportunity to ride an elephant through the jungle to see ancient temples? The ro...

Wo shi waiguoren.: Our first few days in Japan

http://ryanandalexainchina.blogspot.com/2008/11/our-first-few-days-in-japan.html

Tuesday, November 25, 2008. Our first few days in Japan. We've been here in Japan for the past week and a half or so and have had a great time thus far. Here's a brief rundown of our experiences:. LINK TO OSAKA PHOTOS. Alexa woke up the next morning feeling terrible and decided that it was best for her to stay in that day. I ran some errands and did some light sight seeing but not much worth mentioning. We met with the Brit couple that night for more Aus talk though. The final day in Kyoto was a quick bl...

Wo shi waiguoren.: July 2008

http://ryanandalexainchina.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, July 30, 2008. Houston, we have a problem. No one said that moving to China was going to be easy, but I certainly didn't expect to lose my job before I had it. I'll be sure to update the blog again with any developments. Thursday, July 17, 2008. As I was walking home from a friend's house in the balmy night, I started compiling a list of what I would miss and what I would be happy to live without. Things I will miss:. It will not be my last time to btb. In our new office, James, the boss of th...

Wo shi waiguoren.: From Japan to Shanghai to Cambodia

http://ryanandalexainchina.blogspot.com/2008/12/from-japan-to-shanghai-to-cambodia.html

Wednesday, December 17, 2008. From Japan to Shanghai to Cambodia. Wow… Sorry again about the long gap between updates. It’s a catch 22 really. The more things that happen means more to write in the blog but it also means less time to write it. If we weren’t doing anything noteworthy, I’d have all the time in the world to write, but nothing to write about. For the sake of continuity and record keeping, I’ll stick to the chronological order of things despite the space it will take. View my complete profile.

Tuesday, June 24, 2008. We have a blog! Hey everyone and welcome to our blog! Alexa and I will be updating this site from time to time with stories, pictures and musings from our time in China. You can bookmark this page and visit it whenever you like to keep up to date with our whereabouts. We plan on finding an apartment when we arrive and hope to have enough extra space for you all to come and visit! And by the way, "Wo shi waiguoren" means "I am a foreigner" in Chinese. June 26, 2009 · 9:20 am. On Specs and Spectacles. The past week has been relatively uneventful. I’m trying as best as I can to take care of everything I need before I move from India back to the U.S., and I’m slowly but surely checking things off of my list. We’ve mostly been eating, walking, shopping, coffee-ing, and talking, with a minimal amount of touring, but primarily because the rains finally started up this week! School children after the rain. Come and Gone | Bombay Dreams

https://arielinbombay.wordpress.com/2009/06/06/come-and-gone

A Study of Shavuot. June 6, 2009 · 11:06 am. My second day camp has come and gone. This week was an incredibly busy one, what with 10 youth and 30 children in and out of the office every day. Sunday was full of children for Gan Katan and youth for a leadership series session, led by a popular local lecturer. By the end of his program, the Szarvas youth were ready to finish their preparations for the week. By Sunday night at 7:30 pm, I was finally able to head home, for an early wakeup the next day. Happy Shavuot | Bombay Dreams

https://arielinbombay.wordpress.com/2009/05/29/happy-shavuot

A Study of Shavuot →. May 29, 2009 · 11:37 am. Well, clearly I’m not quite celebrating Shavuot as they would at, say, Chabad, but I’m enjoying my free time in my own way: with (surprise surprise) a bagel and coffee at Bagel Shop! Hey, at least my bagel has cream cheese… and my coffee has a little milk. So I’m following the tradition of consuming dairy on Shavuot. And I might go make blintzes at a friend’s apartment tomorrow…. Rooting through the costume box. I’ve spent my evenings relaxing with goo...

Bombay Dreams | My year in Mumbai, India | Page 2

https://arielinbombay.wordpress.com/page/2

Newer posts →. May 23, 2009 · 7:45 am. This week was pretty typical: busy Sunday, lazy Monday, class Tuesday night, lazy Wednesday and Thursday. My Tanakh class is moving through the Book of 2 Samuel pretty quickly. I anticipate that before I leave, we’ll have started 1 Kings, which is exciting. Then again, I also still don’t know when departure will be… so I guess that’s an up-in-the-air statement. TV, loafcake, frosting, and milk - a happy evening. Cat joined us, then fell asleep on Sarahs leg. Familie...

On Specs and Spectacles. July 6, 2009 · 9:17 am. I cannot believe I’m leaving tonight. This year has been such a whirlwind, and it comes to a close unbelievably soon. I know I’m not leaving it all behind – there’s no way I could leave and not take it with me (in clothes, especially! After Kristin left at the end of June, my friend, and former JSC volunteer, Noah, came through Mumbai for a couple of days, which were also my last at the office. Last Gan Katan class. Two Weeks →. June 21, 2009 · 1:35 pm. Wow What a week away! My vacation with Sarah to Nepal was exactly what I was hoping for. I needed a break from the usual hectic travel I’ve been doing around India, and I found it on this vacation. We landed in Kathmandu around 1:45 pm on June 7. Emilie and Sarah, reunited. Emilie is working for a few months for an Israeli NGO called Tevel B’Tzedek. It was pretty tasty, though I have to say that I’m ultimately a devotee of Mumbai chaat. Now and forever. Ryan, Alex and Kayli. Wednesday, April 22, 2015. A day in Kyoto. The next day, Thursday, was our tour of Kyoto which was like 30 minutes northeast-ish of Osaka. This tour was jam packed with stops!
