We were able to see the shuttle launch from the beach behind our hotel. It was so cool! Libby just LOVED the water. All she wanted to do every day was go to the beach and swim. I find them at yard sales all the time. And I collect advice on the subject. I'm on an eternal quest to figure out how to NOT screw my kids up. (I need all the help I can get.). And I recently found a gem. One of those "aha" moments when you realize you've been doing it wrong all these years. You did a great job of helping!

Up, out, about, within, and around. Friday, June 10, 2011. We found a u-pick cherry orchard just outside our town, and conveniently on the way to Fresno. The baby in my belly said she needed some. We picked 22 pounds. A few days later they were gone already, and I think I just barely satisfied that craving. I thought I preferred dark red cherries but these were soooo SWEET and they don't stain, which is pretty important. I kept finding cherry pits all over the house for days. It makes pooltime so much more enjoyable when I don't have four kids constantly on the verge of drowning. The girls were swimming last summer too but had to relearn it all again. Daddy is even more fun to swim with than me because he gives rides on his back. And there goes Zion! Hosanna was getting tired- hence the lifejacket). Have to wake up at 6am.

Sunday, August 31, 2014. First Week of School. School started this week, and boy was it ever an adventurous first week back to class. Rebekah is now in the 3rd grade and Loyd is a very grown-up 1st grader. We found out our teachers, practiced walking to our classes, and packed our backpacks last Friday. We were ready to go on Monday morning. The first day went well and without incident. Rebekah, 1st day of 3rd Grade. Loyd on the 1st day of 1st Grade. I guess it was just one of those kinds of weeks. :).
