WebLog Uganda: Kampala Extension

http://ryanbuhler.blogspot.com/2007/04/kampala-extension.html

Saturday, April 07, 2007. I am also impressed with the organized chaos of these mini-bus parks. Walking around Kampala's is like navigating a maze. The dock on Lake Victoria where we departed on the 40 minute boat ride to Bussi Island. This guy worked at the hostel on the island and was responsible for catching dinner. Dinner of fresh fish was amazing. Tyler and Tim - Identical brothers. An excellent example of what 6 months living in Africa will do to a good clean cut young man. Got your postcard today!

WebLog Uganda: November 2006

http://ryanbuhler.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html

Tuesday, November 28, 2006. Lake Bunyonyi Rainwater Catchment. I spent one week at another ACTS project site collecting data to write a project proposal for rainwater catchment for communities in the hills that have a very long hike to get water from the lake. Some of the longest water treks is 4 hours return. I estimated about a 500m elevation gain for the highest communities. This is quite a hike with a 20L jerry can of water. At the Lake Bunyonyi dock on arrival. A few dugout canoes on Bushara Island.

http://ryanbuhler.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html

Tuesday, October 31, 2006. Sunday was spent visiting the genocide memorial and a church outside Kigali that has been left escentially unaltered since the genocide. Both were incredibly interesting and provide a very real look at the genocide. We again ended up at the Mille Collines, this time for some drinks and dinner. Today I head to my job site and work begins tomorrow! A view of Kigali from our hotel room. Stained glass window at the Memorial Center. The famous pool at the Hotel des Mille Collines.

Ryan Buesgens – thoughts on parenting and fatherhood

Thoughts on parenting and fatherhood. Let’s chat…. Why talk about fatherhood? August 5, 2015. My job stole my money. What does that have to do with fatherhood? I’ll tell you in just a moment. I work hard for my money. It was a bonus of almost $4000 that was taken away. The reason they are not paying me is because of an error on a form completed by someone else. It was a dollar amount that was inputted incorrectly by another department. That simple thing is stopping me from being paid. So here is my plan ...
