Sunday, August 06, 2006. Rajasthan journey - early July. As usual, it has been awhile since the last update, so here it goes. I have no pictures yet but will try to do so soon. Work has been incredibly hectic as I finish up my internship. I will be home in a week! From then on we trekked across some farms until we finally reached the temples. At the temples we found the correct path back, which took only 10 minutes rather than the original hour. Posted by Olen at 2:28 AM. View my complete profile.

Tuesday, July 11, 2006. Lots to talk about - not necessarily in the right order. Im pretty sure I couldnt do that. Being the tourists we were that night, we couldnt pass up the chance to get up on stage with the couple and get added to the wedding album! That picture is on Liz's blog - Ill steal it later. Here are some pics of the fort. Ok, sorry to cut it short - there is still Jodhpur and Jaisalmer to talk about - but I have to get home before my Auntie starts worrying about me. When thought becomes excessively painful, action is the finest remedy." -Salman Rushdie. Thursday, June 29, 2006. Which means "We are one" in Hindi. An eight-year old girl stood up in front of 150 women, half of which were at least ten years her senior. She began, "Ham sab ek! And the group echoed "Ham sab ek! On that note, I'm getting used to the flies and the mosquitoes and the cow shit. It's monsoon season, which means cooler air but also massive floods. There's no drainage system for the stre...Sorry...

Thursday, July 06, 2006. A view of Liz and the battlefield and path up to the fort; the ruined palace where 10,000 women committed suicide rather than be captured by the enemy army:. 3 of us had some cooked spinach in cream at lunch, and all 3 of us were very ill on Monday. It is very tricky sometimes to figure out what you should or should not eat at restaurants, but I am definitely not touching spinach until I get home, unless my host mother cooks it. A sunset that night in Udaipur:. After the animal h...

Monday, January 12, 2009. Monday, November 10, 2008. But, if it brings people who would never enter our churches into them, even if they are hostile, it can't be all that bad, right? Tuesday, November 4, 2008. We had a very nice Halloween even though it was very hot out. We started out by going to preschool and trick-or-treating through the classrooms. It was very hot, and Justin was dressed up as a fuzzy Panda. When I took the costume off, he was bathed in sweat. Believe me, I felt guilty. For time away...
