Our precious daughter is already 2 weeks old today and we are only just getting around to sharing our news. Life is definitely busy with 3 little ones under 4🙂. Ellyanna Grace Carlson was born on Wednesday Dec 12, 2012 at 10:57 am at Mt Sinai Hospital here in Toronto. She was 7lbs 1oz and 20 inches long. Our smallest baby. Where is the album?

I can’t believe that Aidan just turned 2 on Friday! It’s also hard to believe that we have only been parents for just under 4 years AND that we already have 3 wonderful children. Faith and Parenting in the face of Cancer. But I have hope that it won’t always be this hard. Thank you for your grace to continue to do so. 6 weeks. As I was reminded by my dear sister in law’s Facebook status today, it has now been six weeks without Byron. And today I feel shattered by that. It feels so long to have been without my partner. And yet so short in the grand scheme of things. A day at a time. Working on the routines. Space to just breathe. We’re making it through. As if that were possible.

On Sunday morning Byron went into emergency after falling twice during the night. He was very weak in his legs and in a lot of pain. Though he did not injure himself in the falls, he was more sore afterwards. Finally I want to share with you a fundraiser that Byron’s brother Clinton has been organizing for us for some changes that need to be made around the house to allow for Byron’s decreasing mobility. If so, please share. When you ask me how Byron’s doing, I’m never really sure what to say. Things seem to have changed in a way I can’t totally describe. He is tired. He finds it difficult to get comfortable. He has aches and pains that he can’t explain. What would Byron do? Honor Byron with Gratefulness.

We went with Aunt Melissa and cousin N to the dinosaur museum at the beginning of the month. Ari really liked playing in the sand. I really need to get a pass for Thanksgiving Point. For Christmas, Dawn gave Ari some dance clothes to wear during their dance lessons on Wednesdays. She's a pretty awesome at somersaults (it only took 3.5 years.). Ari LOVES snow (both playing in it and eating it :) ).
