Thursday, August 25, 2011. 1st day of Kindergarten. I can't believe how fast time flies. My firstborn is embarking on the first big adventure of her lifetime! There is a sense of independence about her that wasn't there on Monday. It's as if she's gone off now and realized she can survive on her own, and she likes it. So, while part of me wants to cry at the loss of my baby, I choose to smile, laugh, and dream of the future stories and experiences we'll both have along this new "adventure"! And even more...

Friday, November 12, 2010. Last weekend my best friend Ali (Aunt Ali to the girls) brought her daughter down for a visit. We were so excited since Avery has never met Taylor and Isabel was only 6 months when she came with me to meet her the first time. Ali, Sara and I get together at least once a year but it's hard to decide should it be "girls weekend" or "family weekend". So far girls weekend has won! Unfortunately Sara couldn't come but she was forgiven as she was days away from delivering twins!

Wednesday, January 26, 2011. So, before we get to Christmas 2011 I better get going on the blog again! We spent a wonderful 2 weeks in Indiana this year. It was the first Christmas with family in about 3-4 years. It was actually quite relaxing even though we saw a lot of people and drove quite a bit. We got MAJOR ice TWICE this year. thank goodness we didn't get it as bad as Birmingham and Atlanta where thousands were stranded on highways but for the beach, it was pretty crazy. I missed a week of school total and that was a lot. But the kids had fun! The ice was a little hard because it is not as easy to play in like snow but fun being out of school anyway.
