Why bother writing anything down here. It’s digital, there will be no permanent record of these thoughts or the person who thought them. Where does the magic go when it leaves? I get these glimpses, a stir, almost like a tunnel-shake in my peripheral vision and I can. Sometimes I wonder what it’s like to have no walls, no borders or boundaries. It’s a completely alien concept to me. I’ve had walls since before I could form coherent sentences. I am the machine. I sometimes push myself too hard, force of habit I suppose. Had to get some cortisone injections as the result of my pure, cussed stubbornness. I’m not really injured. Nooooooo. It’ll be fine. I had an instructor once, he said we went were other didn’t and did what they couldn’t do. I suppose some things never die. Now usually I don't do this, but um…. Chapter 8: Now quit your day job. I know, I know. I just told you not to quit your day job. At some point you will have to leave your day job. But not until you’re ready (more about that in Chapter 7. There’s no magic amount of time for this, it’s something you’ll have to learn for yourself. My main piece of advice about quitting your day job is very much like Neverland from Peter Pan: you can never go back. Why can you never go back? All too often I see this happen:.
