Monday, March 14, 2011. We are at 39,000 ft somewhere over New Mexico and our trip is coming to a close. Baring any issues between here and Columbus, we have had a very easy trip. No delays or travels issues at all. Here's some random musings from our time in Phoenix:. Some of the players are very well paid. One day there was a brand new Rolls Royce, a Ferarri and two Lambourginis. There were also a couple of AMG Mecedes. Ryan and I threw the baseball so much this trip that I may need Tommy John surgery.

Thursday, March 10, 2011. This morning worked out perfect. Ryan got up just like normal, got dressed, brushed teeth and had breakfast. He got his jacket and backpack then started to walk out the door to get on the bus. He's known that there was a surprise coming and has been bugging us to find out what it is. He thought it was going to be a new game for his DS or an xBox. So now we are waiting for our flight. Next posting will be from Phoenix! Posted using BlogPress from my iPad. Saturday, March 12, 2011. Game #4 - Cubs vs Reds with the luckiest kids in the world. Practice was uneventful although Ryan got a couple more baseballs. At the end of practice, he got signatures from Paul Janish and Brandon Phillips. They were very courteous to those that were there. Here's Brandon signing with Ryan waiting to get the ball back. Ryan has been DYING to get a new game for his DS, so we found a Game Stop so he could buy it. Tuesday, March 8, 2011. A trip he won't forget. It's crazy for me to think that, in a few days, I will be the parent of a 10 year old. I swear it was just yesterday that Suzy and I got to see Ryan's face for the first time. Ten years later, we couldn't be happier with him. So with Ryan's 10th birthday happening in March, we knew we needed to do something big. But what could we do for a 10 year old, who likes baseball and has a birthday in March?
