BACON PHAT | Food – drinks – travel
Food – drinks – travel. Bacon Bourbon BBQ Sauce. 1/2 cup of chopped (diced) bacon. 1 small fine chopped shallot – about a quarter cup. 5 (appox) finely chopped garlic cloves. 1 cup of ketchup. 1/3 cup of apple cider vinegar. 1/4 cup of worcestershire. 1/2 cup of brown sugar. 1/4 cup of honey. With the dry spices, I just used what I thought to be a tablespoon or less of each. Less on the mustard and chili powder, more on the salt and pepper. Just a pinch of thyme and a few shakes of Tabasco.
