Mal's Allotment: Something Stirring
http://malsallotment.blogspot.com/2009/03/something-stirring.html
A Gardening Calendar in an Edinburgh Allotment. Saturday, 28 March 2009. A few weeks ago I popped a bucket over one clumb of rhubarb. The second picture shows a comparison with a neighbouring uncovered crown. Back at home I have a mini greenhouse and will use this to bring on the brassicas in readiness for planting them out at the plot (like the leeks). But at the moment it's just too cold, and too windy to sow any seeds - Maybe tomorrow. In the meantime here's another close-up. 9 August 2009 at 20:45.

http://edinburghalbum.blogspot.com/2012/07/ben-wyvis.html
Monday, 16 July 2012. Saturday 14 July 2012. Sunset with Ben Wyvis looming. Ben Wyvis from the south. This is the hill that looms over Dingwall just North of Inverness. Earlier in the day we set off to climb it. Here's the route up. From here it looks like a single peak. An Cabar - the way up. But when you reach this summit you see two more ahead:. Three summits: An Cabar, Carn a' Chaptein and Glas Leathad Mor. Cairn on An Cabar - Glas Leathad Mor is the summit. A walk in the park. The way back down.

Edinburgh Album: November 2011
http://edinburghalbum.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, 27 November 2011. Ello Ello. What have we here? Across Edinburgh the old police boxes have been transformed. Most are now coffee shops, but this one is a statement in it's own right. It backs on to part of the towns old defences - The Flodden Wall. Saturday, 19 November 2011. If it wasn't for the pylons in between. I got a great shot lined up today - only problem was this ruddy great pylon. And no matter how I tried to frame it. The pylon wouldn't budge! It's normaly the houses in between!

Edinburgh Album: June 2012
http://edinburghalbum.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, 14 June 2012. Anyone who thinks the Olympic Torch has had a lukewarm reception in Scotland is mistaken. So many people turned out that I couldn't find a vantage point. So I've borrowed Norman's picture. (He was only about 50 yards away). My picture of the torch. The same street corner 1/2 an hour earlier. Tuesday, 5 June 2012. Dull - but not Boring. Today was a special day for several reasons:. The Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Our First Munro see Munros. OFT Compliance in action.
