The children paid much more attention to a short presentation about the origins of cacao and bean to bar production than I would have ever imagined. Little Jessica (in her bright pink t-shirt) repeated the entire process to her mum when she arrived home. Very impressive! As were her totally original truffles ; ). For our anniversary we took off for a scenic drive up the California coast to Big Sur and Carmel-by-the-Sea. After hitting some traffic in LA, it cleared up once we hit Santa Barbara and we cruised on past miles and miles of sandy beaches and ocean front views. I went back to school and I lived my last moments with the kids at SCS as their teacher and their coach. It wasn't hard to be there. I enjoyed it. It was hard to leave, and it is hard to know I won't be going back. But, God is good. Big event number three? Most anything with that senior class has proven rather enjoyable.
