If I could go again, I would either do it in summer, when orca sightings are higher, or winter, when the humpbacks are passing through. My experiences while travelling around the amazing country of New Zealand. We had our first weekend away in aaaages this weekend, it was awesome. We travelled down to a little town called Oamaru on Saturday morning; first thing on the agenda… Steam Punk! Oamaru is known as the steam punk capital of NZ and it is easy to see why! My experiences while travelling around the amazing country of New Zealand. Aoraki and Tasman Glacier. My experiences while travelling around the amazing country of New Zealand. Snowboarding, Mt Hutt. We made it up the mountain to do some snowboarding on Friday. We both took the day off work, so all week I was constantly checking the weather forecast and hoping for the best… Checked the status of the mountain on Friday morning and we were good to go!
