D&J's Sabbatical in Africa. Thursday, April 17, 2008. After all of our adventures throughout Africa, we decided to spend the last 4 days in Cape Town, relaxing in our apartment and on the beach. Here's a picture of our apartment from the garden. We are about a 10 minute walk from the Camps Bay Beach where the views of the mountains behind Camps Bay (The 12 Apostles as they are called can be seen. You can also take a short stroll over the rocks to the beaches of Clifton Bay. Road trip in the Garden Route.

D&J's Sabbatical in Africa. Saturday, February 16, 2008. So we finally made it to Moshi. As we said, we flew a little puddle jumper from Nairobi to Kili. The plane flew at 17000 ft above sea level, and as we're coming into the Kili airport, we see Mt. Kilimanjaro looming in the distance. 2000 ft above us! Mia and I went to Ohio over Memorial Day weekend to see her Great-grandma (who we call Gi-Gi), Grandma, Aunt Linda, uncles, and cousins. Mia could not stop dancing when the music came on too. She feel asleep pretty quickly that night. It was a great visit and we can't wait to go back. Plus, it was nice to get out of the snow!
