My online log about my cycling training, and other random thoughts. Sunday, February 14, 2010. Mountain Biking in KL. With a long stay in Kaula Lumpur, I wanted to do some riding. One of my co-workers took me to a local bike shop which had a loaner bike I could use for the stay. The only thing they asked for was that I bring the bike back. We got ready, checked in, and started our warm-up. We started out by riding up the course to see how they had routed by fat chucks, the long rocky steep hill near the start. The course was very sandy, but it was fast as long as you paid attention to the course. I had one good crash due to a bad timing to grab my water bottle. I crashed hard. Support my Ride to Austin. Since I am planning to do the Excruciation Exam at the first of January, I figured it would be a good time to get some mountain biking and road biking in. Thursday, I went and road 30 miles with my friend in the woodlands. Came home and had the T-day meal and prepared for mountain biking on Friday. Support my Ride to Austin.

Not only did we have to change the clocks back, I woke up at 4 am to drive to Waco, Tx to race in the Bicycles Outback Blowout race. The race is held at Cameron Park in Waco. My online log about my cycling training, and other random thoughts. Sunday, April 26, 2009. Double Lake is next weekend. This will be my first mountain bike race since I raced at Double Lake last year. This week I hit the Cypress wood trail on Wednesday night. The trail was a little damp in a few places, but in pretty good shape otherwise. Tuesday, April 21, 2009. I am debating if I will do this ride again next year or not. Time will tell.
