Sabie Brewery - Dravidian Draught

Cockney Liz - wild card. Dravidian Draught - India Pale Ale. Gold was mined in southern Africa long before the documented discoveries in 1873. Evidence exists of ancient mines on Long Tom Pass that formed part of the greater Mapungubwe gold fields. In about 1270, trade between Africa and India continued for two centuries mainly by Dravidian traders. This IPA is recreated to the original recipe - big on style, big on flavour and big on hops. Water, Malted barley, Hops and Yeast.

Cockney Liz - wild card. Shangaan Stout - Stout. The local Shangaan believed that the spirits of their people who had been killed by crocodiles and hippo or whose bodies had been thrown into the river after tribal wars, were still wandering in it. They named the river "Saba" which means the river of fear from which the name of the town Sabie is derived. Water, Malted barley, Hops and Yeast. Naturally-brewed / unfiltered / unpasteurised.

Cockney Liz - wild card. Through the ‘Wild Card’ series, the Sabie Brewing Company commemorates Cockney Liz’s somewhat impulsive, sometimes unpredictable temperament with a new style of beer being produced with each new batch. Only the brewer knows what will come next. There are currently two Cockney Liz Wild Cards on tap at the Sabie Brewing Company - an Apple Ale and a Porter. Apple Ale ABV: 4%, IBU: 32 Porter ABV: 5%, IBU: 42. Ingredients: Water, Malted barley, Hops and Yeast.

Cockney Liz - wild card. The restaurant at the Sabie Brewing Company can comfortably seat 80 people. Inside the restaurant, guests are able to see the brewery through a large glass window. There are exposed roof trusses and a piece of the original wall built in 1921. Executive Chef, John Grobbelaar serves a variety of simple, but delicious food, including freshly baked bread made with the spent grist from the brewing process. View the menu here.
