Do the little things that bring joy each day, and be fully present and engaged in each moment, there will be nothing to regret. 在Palo Alto/Santa Cruz Mountain上面有一個百年栗子園 Skyline Chestnuts Orchard. 設備陽春, 有桶子和厚手套可以用, 還有蜂蜜可以買. 20英畝的栗子樹種在斜坡上, 有些地方很陡, 一定要穿Hiking Boots之類的鞋子才安全. 十月底是撿栗子的好時機, 只是不巧連續三年乾旱, 今年的收成數量和栗子大小都不如三年前, 而且我今年去的時候下雨, 泥巴路又黏又滑, 野心大的我往上坡一直走去, 因為我心想沒人的地方應該比較多機會, 卻完全沒想到等一下要怎麼下來, 所以後來是溜滑梯下來的, 全身髒兮兮, 有夠狼狽. Google Voice通話清晰, 和一般手機沒二樣, 但目前我遇到二個困難 – Google Voice on Smartphone無法接收和傳寄圖檔 (MMS), 必須上gmail信箱裡才看得到圖檔, 不過後來發現這個問題可以靠下載Hangouts App解決 (繼續閱讀); 另一個是車上的藍牙裝置, 無法接聽Google Voice進來的電話, 雖然儀表板上有來電顯示, 但是無法使用擴音方式接聽, 還是得直接用手機接聽 (有人知道解決方式嗎). 先到iTune上下載Hangouts App, 確認 Google Voice and Hangouts. Do the little things that bring joy each day, and be fully present and engaged in each moment, there will be nothing to regret. 我本身不愛甜食, 但喜歡DIY, 來美國後有次機會和美國太太學做果醬, 那時剛好是蘋果季節, 家裡後院的蘋果樹結實累累, 於是便學做Apple Butter和蘋果派, 那是我第一次自己做果醬的經驗. 超市裡賣的果醬實在甜的可怕, 根本嘗不出水果的天然味道, 書局裡可見的Preserve食譜, 果肉和糖的比例多是一比一, 雖然口感比超市裡賣的果醬要好 (起碼我知道我放了什麼材料), 美國朋友尤其喜愛我做的果醬 (因為可以吃到果肉), 但對我來說, 還是太甜了. 於是我寫信去給June Taylor, 告訴她我很有興趣上課, 但苦於名額, 請她幫我排在等候名單上. 到了教室, 每位學生都會拿到一份教材, 裡面有當天果醬的製作食...

Sharing experience on arts and life by Teresa Huang. 經過三年的擴建，舊金山現代美術館終於在5月14日重新開幕。由挪威建築事務所Snohetta以及主要建築師Craig Dykers所設計擴建的白色建物，在既有的傳統現代主義硬邊盒狀形式的舊館後面，添加了10層樓的空間。除了美術館的展覽空間增加了約三倍外，還有45,000英呎的開闊大廳供民眾活動。新建築外觀壁面以白色不規則切割紋面或折疊紋，精巧地與原建築的嚴謹規律紅色磚面產生對照和對話。藉美術館的意象空間，讓創意與變化融入現代城市規律的建築面向，在吸引人們的目光中，也引發人們對內部藝術展覽的想像與期待。 Teresa L.C.
