Somehow wandered from Texas to Sweden. April 25, 2015. I’ve spent a lot of time on trains this past month… And I can’t even begin to describe to you how great it feels to be home writing this post in my bed! That’s right, I’ve spent the last 20 days backpacking around Europe! 20 days, seven cities. Berlin, Krakow, Prague, Budapest, Vienna, Nuremberg, and Copenhagen. I’ve been a very busy girl! But I’m here now, and I can’t wait to share with y’all what I’ve been up to! The start of the journey! If you ha...

Somehow wandered from Texas to Sweden. An eventful couple of weeks! October 20, 2014. Sorry, I just had to unleash my excitement! I have just found out my American grades have FINALLY (after a long anticipated wait) been translated into Swedish terms! And the results were absolutely spectacular, because all my hard work has paid off and they have been translated into the highest. The reason I was so worried about my grades being translated was because I have been freaking myself out with all the ‘. We ar...

5 missing months – menjagtyckerinteomkaffe

January 3, 2015. January 4, 2015. Went to Allsång på skansken for the last show. It was… quite the experience but glad I got to cross off that important event on my quest to become Swedish list. I went to Popaganda, a Swedish pop music festival which is held on Södermalm at the end of August. It was incredible. And seeing Veronica Maggio who was one of the first Swedish artists I listened to back in 2009 was. Also seeing First Aid Kit live was something akin to a religious experience for me. Our next ser...

A big Welcome To The Netherlands to our exchange student! Larr; In two days…. Language Lab Final Session. December 17, 2013. OK, so this language lab thing seemed like a good idea at the beginning of Zoé’s exchange 😉. We didn’t want to leave it at just that though, so we prepared a final language lab posting to give you an idea of the progress she’s made these past four months. So I recorded Zoé about two weeks ago while she was reading us one of the Sinterklaas. Enter your comment here. You are comment...

Somehow wandered from Texas to Sweden. So it begins…. September 12, 2014. I have gotten to know three women very well. Abla, Jazmine, and Monika. She is also the angel who taught me the way to the train station from campus and directed me on which bus I should take. I would definitely have struggled without her. Hard work pays off. Even though it has only been a week, I already know so much more than I did last Sunday night. Not only more swedish, but more perspective into the lives of others and the...

Somehow wandered from Texas to Sweden. Finals Exams and Backpacking Plans! March 23, 2015. March 23, 2015. Hello all, I’m back again! As of five minutes ago, I am officially done with my first college class! It feels weird to be done with school in the middle of March, but it’s also a relief! Three months has really flown by, and I don’t know where time is going! It’s been a month since my last post, so here we go with the March update! As you can see, we had a great time! I could not be happier! It will...

It’s cold, and it’s dark – Welcome to Sweden | alexa edström
https://alexaedstrom.wordpress.com/2014/11/13/its-cold-and-its-dark-welcome-to-sweden
Somehow wandered from Texas to Sweden. It’s cold, and it’s dark – Welcome to Sweden. November 13, 2014. Summer is long gone, and autumn is nearing it’s end in Sweden, so that means here comes winter! In other terms, the freezing cold and the darkness for the majority of the day. This time of year can be pretty awful if you wake up when it’s dark, and come home when it’s dark, I can definitely see why my aunt hates it… And when it’s not raining, it’s cloudy! The sun is apparently on vacation, until March.
