Friday, April 3, 2015. The end of March and the beginning of April. Journaling pages and they posted a little backwards but I won't change it now. This is one of my writing pages with the acrylic ink background that we did in class. It's for the month of April. Another page for the month of April. I will be adding some wings, but this is my start. Back to March; here are my tiny watercolors called "Peeps". And a final page of journaling for the month of March. That dreaded day. As good as gold. Uta moone...

http://aprilsart.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Enjoyed watching the girls during their horseback riding lesson this past week. And this is the horse that likes peppermints! After he is done sucking on it, he cups his tongue so funny as if it needs to be cooled off after the mint. Well, what do you think of that? Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Drawing in a grid. Summer treasures from Julie's garden. Sunday, July 27, 2014. A day at Morton Arboretum. And it was a beautiful day. Danielle, Marissa, Kassidy. And they had fun. Sturts quic...

april's art: June 2014
http://aprilsart.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 29, 2014. A new life for an old drawing. Did this line drawing years ago and Julie wanted to hang it by her front hall coat hooks. Friday, June 27, 2014. My Little Paper Towel Workshop. The idea here was making small collage pieces, either beach or garden themed. First painting paper towels with the colors that came to mind for those themes and then cutting them into 1-1/2 inch squares for the color focus of our collages. These are my samples, which were mostly beach-y. Tuesday, June 24, 2014.

Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Blossoming out at The Center. And sharing July journaling. Beginning August pages, Nancy was kind enough to show us how she creates Zentangles. And here is one of her stunning creations drawn in white ink. Everyone was excited to try some of the samples. Now we'll see what goes into our August pages! A fun grid and some lettering. Photo collage of a special party. Another kind of grid honoring July. Just a little writing and a little collage. Colors, words and collage of the month.

Saturday, April 11, 2015. Getting ready for collage and journaling. Next week begins a new Collage session at The Center and so I'm getting ready to show my class how to make these pretty papers to use in their pieces. Layers of acrylic paints and gesso; scraping and rubbing. Hoping for some Spring colors to blend. Thinking grasses and new growth. And then, of course. Working on my April pages for my "No Excuses Art Journal" group. Going back and forth, some are done. And some are in the works! This week...
