Bring Stevenson Home: March 2009
http://bringstevensonhome.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Our journey to bring our son home from Haiti. Thursday, March 19, 2009. Hurry Up and Wait. I titled today's post the way I did because anyone who has gone through an international adoption knows exactly what I'm talking about. Last week was a frantic frenzy of excitement, anxiety, and scurrying to get papers together, signed, and shipped off in an amazingly short amount of time and an exhorbatant amount of money only to find out that a DNA test was ordered and now we just sit and WAIT. AGAIN. The OD said...

Bring Stevenson Home: September 2008
http://bringstevensonhome.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Our journey to bring our son home from Haiti. Monday, September 29, 2008. GREAT News - I'm not a criminal! Hee, hee. Anyone who has been through this process knows that we have to be fingerprinted and background checked more than a serial criminal(! And today I got my results back from the FBI and I finally passed! Well, he came over and I shipped my prints off along with Tom's on August 25. On Sept. 14, the mail lady delivered the envelope and sure enough, Tom's passed and mine were rejected! I know the...

Bring Stevenson Home: November 2008
http://bringstevensonhome.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Our journey to bring our son home from Haiti. Sunday, November 30, 2008. Today we celebrated "Forever Family Day". This is the day we celebrate each of our children, their birthfamilies and the journeys we've taken to bring them home to us - their forever family. Each year we "refine" the celebration a bit as the kids are getting older and able to do more and next year will be another special day because we'll be able to celebrate with Stevenson home as well! He better be home by then or I'll go insane!

Bring Stevenson Home: A Disappointing Day....
http://bringstevensonhome.blogspot.com/2009/05/disappointing-day.html
Our journey to bring our son home from Haiti. Tuesday, May 5, 2009. After waiting quite impatiently for much of the day today without hearing anything from Haiti, I decided to try to contact the U.S. Embassy to see if 1)I'd be lucky enough to get through and 2)I'd be lucky enough to get someone who was willing to help me AND actually have an answer for me. Well, with no luck by phone, I sent an email asking how the appt went this morning. Late this afternoon I got this response. Port au Prince, Haiti ".

http://bringstevensonhome.blogspot.com/2009/05/24-reber-style.html
Our journey to bring our son home from Haiti. Sunday, May 17, 2009. 24 - Reber style. As I mentioned in the last post, this is a special post for all our 24. Friends - hopefully it will not be too annoying to all of you who don't watch it (don't you hate it when friends talk all about a show that you don't watch and you have no idea what they are talking about? Sorry, this is one way we have found humor - and adventure - in this crazy ride called International adoption). I (aka. Chloe) was poised at ...

Bring Stevenson Home: Visa Appointment!
http://bringstevensonhome.blogspot.com/2009/05/visa-appointment.html
Our journey to bring our son home from Haiti. Sunday, May 3, 2009. Stevenson's Visa appointment has been set for Tuesday, May 5 at 7:30! We're getting SO close now! The most difficult part is that I thought Tom had to be there for this appointment and we were ready to book the flight, but we've since found out he doesn't need to be there and that because there have been so many delays at this point in the process all advice is that we not book flights until the Visa is actually printed. New Life for Haiti.

Bring Stevenson Home: February 2009
http://bringstevensonhome.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Our journey to bring our son home from Haiti. Friday, February 27, 2009. No hand delivery, come on DHL! Well, I got all our documents ready to be submitted to the Visa office, but unfortunately, it didn't work out for them to be hand delivered. The woman that we thought would be able to do it is waiting to escort a child home and doesn't know when she will be traveling. So, off to the Postnet I went today to get the documents shipped via DHL. Wednesday, February 25, 2009. This is INCREDIBLE news! He will...

Our journey to bring our son home from Haiti. Monday, October 20, 2008. I do know that we are doing what we can, I know he is grateful for some word from us and I know he enjoys the photos. Please join us in praying he'll be home for a big Christmas feast. Sunday, October 19, 2008. We love our social worker! Unfortunately, she was rear-ended on her way to see us and we felt terrible. She is ok and her car was ok too, but just shook up. We so appreciate her and are so glad she was unharmed. A few of you h...
