Safely Trapping Feral Cats

Safely Trapping Feral Cats. And the humane management of homeless cats in the San Francisco Peninsula. Wednesday, April 1, 2015. This is no April fools joke. We're going into kitten season. I trapped my 1st 2015 homeless kitty over the weekend. Thanks to San Francisco SPCA, she was spayed on Saturday and returned to her home on Sunday. Four less new kittens living on the street as a result. Humane trapping and spay/neuter really make a difference to both the cats and our communities. Sunday, July 27, 2014.

Safely Trapping Feral Cats: Almost 2 months later...

http://www.safelytrappingferalcats.blogspot.com/2014/02/almost-2-months-later.html

Safely Trapping Feral Cats. And the humane management of homeless cats in the San Francisco Peninsula. Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Almost 2 months later. I finally trapped her. Four of her kittens from previous litters were taken in by the Nine Lives Foundation in Redwood City, CA. for permanent homes. I've been really concerned about not being able to trap her to be spayed and vaccinated before her next litter of kittens. She's not very old and this is a viscous cycle for her to be on.

Safely Trapping Feral Cats: What keeps me up at night?

Safely Trapping Feral Cats. And the humane management of homeless cats in the San Francisco Peninsula. Sunday, July 27, 2014. What keeps me up at night? This work is incredibly rewarding and if we don't do it at these colonies, there is no one else. These little fur balls need us. We've TNRed 31 cats/kittens year to date! Pretty good for a small foundation and group of volunteers. As my friend and fell volunteer says, we're small but mighty! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). What keeps me up at night?

Safely Trapping Feral Cats: November 2013

Safely Trapping Feral Cats. And the humane management of homeless cats in the San Francisco Peninsula. Friday, November 15, 2013. Kittens - challenges and joys! My children are all very furry and have paws. I'm also a foster mom every year for multiple litters of kittens. I think it's impossible to support a feral cat colony and not come across kittens who need to be trapped, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and fostered. All three kittens were very sick when they were trapped although it wasn't apparent ini...

Safely Trapping Feral Cats: Beautiful and cat like; sometimes fragrant

http://www.safelytrappingferalcats.blogspot.com/2013/09/beautiful-and-cat-like-sometimes.html

Safely Trapping Feral Cats. And the humane management of homeless cats in the San Francisco Peninsula. Friday, September 13, 2013. Beautiful and cat like; sometimes fragrant. How long have you been doing TNR? Chances are if you've been doing homeless cat rescue for even a few weeks, you've encountered wildlife. You want to be respectful and remember that the raccoons and skunks are terrified when you trap them instead of a homeless cat. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Homeless Cat Facts - The Purrfect Catch

http://www.thepurrfectcatch.org/homeless-cat-facts

It takes a village. What are homeless cats? Homeless cats are sometimes called feral. Always the result of pet owners' abandonment or failure to spay/neuter (S/N) their animals. Many assume their animals will survive when they move away and leave them behind; domestic animals do not automatically return to their "natural" instincts and cannot fend for themselves. They do not have the skills needed to survive outside unassisted. True ferals are not socialized to people. Typically fearful of people. Anothe...

It takes a village. Tigger, Dotty, and Henry. We would prefer to find homes for 100% of the homeless cats we work with. That’s not always possible or even preferable for some cats; cats choose to be domesticated and live with us. For those cats that have free spirits, we feed them daily and manage their care in colonies located in our community. To adopt, please contact us.

Safely Through

Tuesday, September 6, 2011. It's been 3 years since the events that sparked this blog took place. In the year since my last post, I have continued to allow God's healing hand to have its way in my life and am moving forward more fully into my destiny. I am in essence a missionary to the local church living on missionary support. I have given my life to helping raise up worship leaders who lead from the deep places of their own personal intimacy with God. And for purchase HERE. And Take Off Your Shoes.
