deb in guate: the original proposal

http://debinguate.blogspot.com/2009/02/original-proposal.html

Sunday, February 15, 2009. So what am I here to do? Here's the original proposal that I submitted a year and a half ago (yes, this project has been on my mind for awhile now! It is titled: Engaging Indigenous Groups in Guatemalan Education Policymaking. A country still deeply affected by the longest, bloodiest civil war in Latin America, Guatemala today remains sharply divided – between rich and poor, ladino. Two Models of Indigenous Education. CNEM is an association of 22 indigenous organizations that s...

deb in guate: September 2009

http://debinguate.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Sunday, September 13, 2009. Someone in the crowd asked me to stop filming. When I argued that the crowd should let the police take care of the matter, a group retorted that, at best, the man would be released the next day - that the police would not do much. So instead, I watched helplessly as ordinary citizens stood around cheering on these men as they tried to enact their own form of justice. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. deb in guate: May 2009

http://debinguate.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html

Sunday, May 31, 2009. Multi-tasking ain't my forte. It would appear that I am not a blogger. Three months have passed since my last post. Given this is not my first attempt at blogging, and my previous experiences met with similar fates, I think I can deem this a pattern. Anecdotal analysis of posting patterns suggests that I only blog when I am bored. Thus life alone in small, rural towns might actually give this blog a chance at life. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
