Pintucks and Pettiecoats: August 2012
http://pintucksandpettiecoats.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 19, 2012. Have you seen the sister publication of Sew Beautiful. It is called Stitch Craft Create. I believe this is their third issue. I took one of my daddy's old wool sports jackets and felted it. I made four needle cases out of it. Two of the cases made from the jacket are featured in the Halloween issue. These are so much fun to make! They are practical, as they carry all your sewing supplies and are made from repurposed fabric. Do you have a special needle case?

Sunday, June 26, 2011. Baby Hailey" is the baby version of "Hailey." The dress is made the same, but the pattern also includes the option of shortening the dress into a top with matching bloomers. Thursday, June 23, 2011. Flower Smocking is stitched on the right side of the fabric. It creates folds and puffs. It consists of pulled stitches and slack stitches that are worked on a marked grid. Please realize that it does not stretch like pleated smocking. Hailey" - sizes 3 to 7. Sunday, June 19, 2011.

Jan's Smocking Blog: Simple Smocked Dress
http://janssmocking.blogspot.com/2012/12/simple-smocked-dress.html
Here's my adventures in the world of smocking and hand embroidery. Monday, December 3, 2012. It may not look like a simple dress, but it totally is! I decided to not make a traditional belt. I think it's more fun, something a little different. Now, I'm off to the fabric store to get fabric for this princess's little sister. She says rainbow is her fave color. So, a rainbowish print it is! Til later, happy smocking everyone! January 22, 2014 at 12:15 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Smocking is my ...

Jan's Smocking Blog: November 2012
http://janssmocking.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Here's my adventures in the world of smocking and hand embroidery. Sunday, November 25, 2012. Here's another pattern being tested for Ellie Inspired. It's a new nightgown. This is totally what a princess would wear to bed don't you think? Oops, like like it's hanging a little wonky on the hanger.). Here's a view of the back. The buttons look kind of yellow, but they are just an off white. Here's sneak peak of another nightgown I'm using with the same pattern. The next part I need to get done is some ...

Pintucks and Pettiecoats: Two more "Bella"s!
http://pintucksandpettiecoats.blogspot.com/2012/04/two-more-bellas.html
Wednesday, April 11, 2012. I found this lovely Tilda fabric at the Martha Pullen Marketplace. It just pops. Martha is the only company in the US that is carrying this fabric, I believe. This is the reverse side. I love the blue pocket against the bright pink polka-dots. Here's another "Bella" I made for an upcoming class that I am teaching at Barb's Sewing Center. Although the colors are softer in this dress than they are in the one made with the Tilda fabric, I still love it! This is the reverse side.
