http://repertoirefood.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 27, 2013. So actually, it appears that this photo thing on the Mac Airbook is easier than I expected. It was just me being unfamiliar with the mac and where all those tricksy photos are stored.Anyway - here is the Dessert Platter from Oenovia - I don't usually take photos of food (I kinda think it is rude and disturbing to your fellow diners) but this.this was special. Links to this post. Friday, January 25, 2013. Back to basics: A repertoirefood mission statement. I even love packet muck...

Repertoire Food: March 2013
http://repertoirefood.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 26, 2013. So I'm buying a rice cooker. And hopefully my rice will get that much better. So of course my interweb browser is full of this sort of thing at the moment:. Http:/ justhungry.com/2003/11/japanese basics 1.html. Links to this post. The one thing that always irritates me about those Tuesday newspaper food supplements such as "Epicure" and "Taste" is the terrible un-originality of the scheduling. For example, the edition before Easter is always, always. I don't know the answer. ...

Http:/ justhungry.com/2003/11/japanese basics 1.html. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Searching out the best recipes from the web, my own cookbooks, and possibly making up some along the way. I aim to find those recipes you'll want to make over and over again - additions to your own personal "repertoire".

Repertoire Food: July 2012
http://repertoirefood.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 7, 2012. A metric f$%kton of little pancakes. So I've been staring at a poffertje pan that I bought some time ago. And every time I open the cupboard, my line of sight goes directly to a packet of poffertje mix that I found in the supermarket soon after buying the pan. I had some doubts that my little stove top could actually heat up the big cast iron pan, so I kept putting the project off and off yet again. And was still going much much later. the entire packet took forever! Above is a pi...

Repertoire Food: Chorizo and halloumi bake (after Nigella...)
http://repertoirefood.blogspot.com/2011/08/chorizo-and-halloumi-bake-after-nigella.html
Sunday, August 7, 2011. Chorizo and halloumi bake (after Nigella.). No wonder I couldn't find this one in any of my Nigella cookbooks! It's been so long since I actually consulted the recipe - I actually couldn't quite remember the name of it. As it turns out, Nigella's recipe uses Merguez sausages, and I have always used chorizo. Looking up "Chorizo" in the index was no help at all. Thank goodness for Google! Chorizo and Halloumi bake (for 2 - adjust quantities for larger groups). I am sitting here in t...

http://repertoirefood.blogspot.com/2013/10/what-is-difference-between-baking.html
Wednesday, October 23, 2013. What is the difference between baking powder, baking soda and bicarbonate (bi-carb) of soda? What are their different uses? Bi-carb of soda and baking soda are different names for the same thing; in Australia, we mostly refer to it as bicarbonate of soda, but in other parts of the world it is commonly referred to as baking soda. Baking powder is a mixture - it contains bicarbonate of soda and comes pre-mixed with the acidic ingredient (often cream of tartar) for you. All ...

Sunday, August 5, 2012. Meanwhile, the cheesecake I made yesterday turned out awesomely - here's a picture of it straight out of the oven:. I am rather pleased at the lack of cracking! Success. Perhaps I'll have the energy to make a cafe style banana bread this afternoon as well. Links to this post. Saturday, August 4, 2012. Repertoire Food: "It actually looks like a pie".....
http://repertoirefood.blogspot.com/2009/05/it-actually-looks-like-pie.html
Tuesday, May 26, 2009. It actually looks like a pie". Was the exact quote from my love. *Heh*. So I actually went ahead and made my own pastry ( sour cream shortcrust. For the base, and it was absolutely amazingly easy.) I used Maggie Beer's recipe - so now have a new found respect for her. And yes, I did in fact do this on a weeknight. Basically - I just made the pastry as soon as I got home, then threw it in the fridge to chill whilst I put away the shopping, got changed etc. AS for the pie filling?
