YOUR HOSTS : Al and Sue Grant. We moved here in 1996 along with our sheep and border collies, from a smaller acreage in the Fraser Valley. After bringing electricity and water service to the property, our first few years were occupied by renewing fencing, old pastures and hayfields and building barns, sheds and shelters and establishing organic fruit and vegetable gardens. We have had invaluable help from time to time from visiting friends and relatives. Sawmill - boards - helper.

Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, on our own trails. Or in the Provincial Forest next door. Groomed trails are nearby at Baldy, Phoenix or Idabel Lake. Downhill skiing or boarding:. At nearby Baldy ( 20 min). Big White (near Kelowna) or Apex (near Penticton) (1 hrs). Phoenix Mtn near Grand Forks. Relaxing by the woodstoves. We enjoy crisp and cold temperatures thru most of November thru March. Snowfall is mostly dry powder snow to a depth of 2 to 3 feet. Al and Sue Grant.
