Thursday, January 30, 2014. Today Gideon turned 3! I can hardly believe it. We got him his favorite blueberry donut holes for breakfast and then let him blow out the candle as many times as he likes because we know how to party. He got to unwrap one of his birthday presents today (a robot, always a robot) but we will save the rest for his party on Saturday. Okay, last one. And this will blow your mind. Thursday, May 28, 2015. Last Day of Preschool. They say time flies when you are having fun. They should add that it also flies when you are busy/overwhelmed/overjoyed/have two kids. I love my family! A friend recently posted on facebook that she didn't know she would cry on the first and last day of preschool. She was so right! In a nutshell, my baby is growing up, but as he loves to hear me say, he will always be my baby boy. Now if you'll excuse me I seem to have gotten something in both of my eyes.

Saturday, August 30, 2014. A princess graced us with her presence this morning. Her mommy, the queen, had a date with GG (the dowager) to go kayaking so we got to entertain royalty. Cousins in the kitchen. This is one princess who does not need a prince (because she stole Darth Vader's lightsaber (with his hand still attached). Having a chat with Lord Vader, I assume about the hand situation. I was informed that this is a princess and a prince in a castle. Later it would be a princess and a crocodile.
